Pro Account Compendium Sharing Issues

I'm the creator of a new game I'm trying to set up with my friends and one of them is unable to access anything I'm sharing while the other 3 aren't having any issues.  I am the person who created the game, I have compendium sharing turned on, and it shows I am sharing with 4 of the 10 players max currently.  So it's registering him as being someone I'm sharing with.  yet whenever he tries to access any of the things I'm sharing it keeps taking him to a screen to buy it for himself and won't let him access it while the others simply had to click on them and they could easily access all the books.  We've been trying things on and off most of the day, and going through old forums of related issues but it's just not helping.   Here's a screenshot of the game settings for compendium sharing if it helps.

Is your friend perhaps trying to access items outside of the game, using the web interface? Compendium Sharing is only available on the in-game Compendium tab.
They are using the site like this: going from tools, to compendium, to D&D 5E, and then clicking on the player handbook there.  Tried clicking on the hand book (which worked for the others), opening it in a new tab, and logging out to log back in.  It just keeps redirecting him to the "you don't own this" page and prompting him to buy it.

That's outside the game. Compendium Sharing only works from the Compendium tab inside the game. This: Not This: Basically, you share your compendium with players in specific games. In order for them to access it, they need to be within that shared game.
Thanks, first time sharing and i -thought- that was what he was doing, but you are right and he was going outside!
