Who we are: A group of friends who have known each other online a few years now. We have played various games together, including Fiasco, Eclipse Phase, Call of Cthulhu, and others, and we know we get along and can make parties that are reasonably cohesive and cooperative. We're over 21, and we are fairly diverse. We also vary in levels of experience with the rules/lore, with a couple beginners and some more experienced, but we have access to them and are able to help each other. Who you are: A friendly person of any gender, race, culture, orientation, etc., who is over 18 (just because it seems a little uncomfortable to us as adults to be discussing blood drinking and things with someone who is legally a minor) and can respect the diversity of our group. Ideally we imagine you will become part of our gaming friend group too, but if you're not up for that it's not required by any means. If you would rather just run a Vampire Dark Ages game for a while and be on your way, that's fine too. We won't twist your arm to be our friend. :) What we're looking for in a game: A balance between combat and roleplay. Most of us value roleplay solidly over combat and enjoy the opportunity to develop characters and have interactions with NPC's that feel believable, but the occasional need for fighting does usually arise in a setting/world/story like this. We prefer a serious story, as opposed to something that feels like a parody, but that isn't laden with anything over-the-top in terms of "edginess". Vampire is of course a game that involves violence and dark things, but certain types of violence can be used too much as plot devices to imply horror and that's something we'd like to avoid. Something that is more Lord of the Rings and not so much Game of Thrones (yes, those are fantasy but we couldn't think of any good vampire shows to compare to :/). We're also hoping for the original Dark Ages rules, since things change quite a bit in later versions. What you should do now: If this appeals to you and you'd like to at least chat with us to see if we'd be a good fit for each other, just respond and we'll see how things go!
