Group has beenn solid since january, recently had an upset but moving past it. The game us dnd 5e with some Magehand Press classes as well as the dark matter book which adds a bunch of sci fi stuff to the game. ATM its a simple McGuffin Chase mixed with fighting a demon cult, loosing running an adhoc Tales of Yawning Portal modules, ATM party is lvl 7 and partially through the Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan. Other modules being ad hoc together are Hidden Lab of Kwalish, as well as other 1e modules. I do try to keep alive some of what made the old modules famous when i run them. (Ex, Tamochan has posion gas that acts as an anti rest mechanic. in 1e it did 10d6 damage per real world hour. 5e knocks it down to 1d6 and says you can rest in it. i comprimise to 2d6 with no rest that scales down the closer you get to the surface. keeps alive the spirit of the dungeon, gets rid of some of the neutering that occured. If your an older edition dnd player and want a bit of the first edition flavor in your 5th edition game, if you want a DM who is chill and will do most anything, (current party is a Yuan Ti Divine Sorc, a Halfling Space Marine/Doomslayer, a Goblin Cleric of Law, and a Trumpet Archon angel who is cursed with a spirit riding her body and being hunted by celestials.) or if you just want some sci fi 5e dnd, this is the game for you. We dont spend a shit ton of time RPing at balls or in towns, most of the time is spent in a dungeon of some type or on a world map moving to the next dungeon. Rarely do we just go into theatre of mind and roleplay for several hours. If you want a curse of strahd type game where the whole focus is complex RP this is not the game for you. RP occurs in dungeons or in context of actions taken. Id say like 80/20 break down for NotRP/RP looking for 2 players currently
