Deserts and Doomsdays In Faerun's Anarouch Desert there lay a small town named Pagos . Stone walls, adobe homes and a thin layer of ever present dust decorate this young city. If one were to spend a minute listening to the winds, they would hear the clinking of pickaxes and the crushing of stone from the nearby mining quarries. The trade of precious metal, marble and gemstones fuels Pagos' economy. With its heavy reliance on mining, it is no wonder that the town's Governor, Graeogi Lokenson , has sent out letters to various guildhalls, wizards colleges, and military commanders requesting aid to tackle a threat to the very lifeblood of Pagos. Large carnivorous insects have begun burrowing through the mines, destabilizing the caverns, and attacking the miners. Funds have been pooled together from many of the proprietors of the quarries to pay for the transportation and housing of foreign heroes to oust the bugs. As one such hero, you begin your journey to Pagos. Riding in a camel drawn carriage alongside fellow adventurers, you make your way from the safety of the past, into the danger of the future. Unbeknownst to you and your riding party, there is a threat far more sinister than burrowing bugs brewing in the desert. A group of radical Pagosians, known only as the Wings of Valhalla , have begun destroying the businesses and homes of Second Generation Pagosians, and attacking tourists and immigrants on sight. Upon every victim's forehead, they brand their mark, a pair of black feathery wings. There have been reported sightings of their former branded victims, dead and decaying, walking around in the desert at night. They hiss and howl unintelligibly, but many of the witnesses have claimed to have heard this one word spoken very clearly; "RAGNAROK" This adventure spans Tier I and Tier II and starts the players off at level one. Any material that is published by WOTC for Dungeons and Dragons 5e may be used to create a character for this adventure. Point buy (Base 8 and 27 points to spend) is used to generate stats for your characters. This is a paid game.
