I am
starting a long term campaign for Star Wars: Edge of the Empire. I
need 4 or 5 players to fill it. I want to hold it weekly on Fridays at 1900 (07:00 PM) Central. I am open to adjusting the start time and running it on Thursday if we have more interest in that.
Things
to know before you apply: It
will be very much a sandbox, though I will tailor quests and story
arcs to fit your group desires. I
expect my players to Role Play. Talking, in character, is involved
often. Unless its important, if you can talk your way into or out of
a situation, I won't make you roll for it even. You
must have a working Mic and Google Hangout. I
am not a Lore hound. I will not know everything there is to know
about Star Wars. Most likely I will not follow the established
time-line of events. Your
character is required to have a backstory with depth. I do not
expect a novel, but I want to know about your character. More
importantly, I want you to know about your character so you can RP
them. Be
dependable. I do not want someone who can show up only once every
three sessions. It is not fair to me, or the other players. Lastly,
you should know I am a new GM to Edge of the Empire. I will do my
best to give you a kick ass experience if you give me the chance to. I have all the Edge of the Empire books, and also will accept classes from Age of Rebellion. Additional Information: 1. How long we will run the game is entirely dependent on the players as
I am willing to go for many hours. That said I would like to get in a
solid 4 hours at a minimum. 2. I will run the adventure paths,
but only if I can make them fit what the party is doing. As I said the
game will be a sandbox for the group, and I love to see what choices and
consequences will roll out of that. If the Group goes to Bespin, or I
can someway tie in "The Jewel of Yavin" then I will most certainly
attempt to use it. 3. I am willing to have Force Sensitive
players, but I like the Highlander approach: There can be only one. That
said, if we have a lot of people wanting to be one, I can roll with
that quite well too! 4. I intend to create a sandbox for the
players. This means that the players will determine where they go and
what they do and I will not get in the way of it. However I intend to
throw quests and plot hooks out to entice players, especially if the
group is not pro-active. I am aiming for a Narrative campaign, and not
so much a grids and maps campaign. 5. I ask all potential players
to create a character with a back-story as it helps me determine how
willing someone is to actually RP, and how much they really want to
play. This way if someone sends me a character sheet with no back-story,
I know they will not RP much and have little drive to be part of the
game. I am, however, completely willing to help create characters and back-story for those that ask.
