Hi all!!! My name is Maddy! I have been playing D&D 5e for a few years and DMed a couple one shots with friends. It's been a long while since I've DMed and I would like to get some practice in before I start a big homebrew campaign later- so here I am! The important thing to note about this campaign is that it is using the Monster of the Week system (which I can supply docs and stuff for) and is NOT meant to be super long-term! It's just going to be something fun for friends to do, ample roleplay and bullshittery with a looser plot to follow. This is a great opportunity for casual or new players to jump in and mess with a new system! It's in an urban fantasy setting, taking place in New York, where magic and the supernatural are an open secret. The pcs in game will be, in one way or another, roped into an investigation surrounding a string of supernatural crimes in varying degrees. Session 0 is this Thursday, October 10th, at 7pm. I will guide players through character creation and lay out the general setting and we can work out character relations when the time comes.
