Hello! I'm a long time DM of several systems, but mostly 5th edition dungeons and dragons. I however, have become very interested in the Fantasy Flights Games systems, and their narrative focus. Specifically I'm going to be running a FFG game using Force and Destiny, with the other books contents being unlock able as you explore the galaxy! Heres a primer for the game so you can see if you'd be interested in the narrative at play, but keep in mind that while the start point is set I'm happy to take the campaign in whatever direction the party deems interesting! The year is 3976 BBY. As the galaxy still recovers from the strain and scars of the Great Sith War only 20 years prior, the rebuilt Jedi Order continues its duties across many worlds with their various praxeums and academies. They train the newest generations of Force Sensitives, with many taking care to make great changings to their teaching practices to guard against perceived threats which could drive the young pupils to the dark side. Unbeknownst to them yet, a dark threat already gathers at the edges of the Galaxy. Already, the independent system of Althir III has fallen under the heavy hand of the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders who prepare for the day they make their war effort known to the still recovering Galactic Republic. All the while, ancient orders and powers connected to the Force stir in response to the great ripples sent out by these events. Evils long thought vanquished may rise again. Many Jedi of the Order feel the coming strife and its influence in the Force, but know not its origins, and thus, continue their ordinary vigils and duties unmolested by the Darkness that rises around them... yet. One group of pupils, rising now to Knighthood among the Jedi Praxeum on a small, snowy system known as Teya IV are destined to be swept up in this conflict, in one way or another, unknowing of the roles they may play in the days to come. Under the guidance of Mistress Tannis, and their own respective masters, they will choose for themselves a path to forge or follow, but none can say where these humble beginnings will lead them.
