[LFP][Online][V20] Dark Ages Vampire

Original chronicle starting in January, we play every Sunday at 1pm ET (-4 GMT) but also play by post throughout the week. A player with the desire to write is a must. The story is written in the style of the canon Transylvania and Giovanni Chronicles, the first act centers in Florence in 1242 CE, when the tensions between those loyal to the Emperor and those loyal to the Pope is at its bloodiest… For more info check out this link for how to apply: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1zMFu4Umn5FekHYI_MD0xHSMdnPFVpZxATFumIzyGYKY/edit?usp=sharing
Done, but its easier to get a new job than that.... :D
First, thank you for applying! If you think the application was "hard" you probably don't enjoy writing enough for this game. Additionally, this game has a higher level of involvement than most others, are you sure you're still interested considering it might be what you consider "work"?

If you think, you will scare me away by your puny threats, you are wrong. I still want in. :P

But I must agree with Tomas here - you set the bar extra high. Also, when someone asks me to write a sample scene in an application to a game I get the idea it's a Play-by-Post. Don't get me wrong I love writing, I merely loathe PbP. My questions are: Is it a PbP or a Live Text game? Are you the ST? If not who is. Will there be dice rolling or is this merely a collective writing project?
This is more of a hybrid game than play by post. We meet on Sundays for 5 hours wherein all characters address main plot and these Discord sessions are is the main access point of the game as a whole. But during the week, players are expected to engage with one another and with NPCs (if they wish) to learn a bit more about the plot, about the other players, and to work on personal plot that there might not be time for at the whole group game sessions.
Hi there! I'm one of the players for this game, and can wholly recommend Nick's structure of running things. It is a very immersive story, with a great group of people who are always willing to discuss or write with you. Everyone puts their heart into the story, and are very willing to teach mechanics of the game to newer players. This level of collaboration is fantastic and something I've rarely experienced in my past games.

Before I get myself to consider too hard the logistics of time, it might be good to know how many players are involved and the general balance of themes among them. Some players would not be comfortable with a very small group (which creates more pressure to be creative) or large ones (where spotlight moments and individuality are harder to come by). Likewise, an environment dominated by certain character themes might not suit someone. That aside, I would argue that "national" sentiment, the primer notwithstanding, is certainly alive and well, even if it's often more on a regional level. Not everyone acquiesces quite as easily to federalism. Denmark, for instance, was only in the most theoretical sense part of the Empire, and the (Capetian!) Dukes of Burgundy certainly did not belong to it. Mind, alternative history can be a lot of fun, when it's well researched, but the more you present things in detail, the more you might run into actual historians (or, in my case, an anthropologist who has happened to have studied the 13th century in Europe before).
I am the Storyteller, we have 3 players already and I'm looking to add 1 or 2 more. Hope that answers everyone's questions.
This game seems very interesting! I already put in my application, but I am curious on what the current coterie is in terms of personalities, concepts, and clans/bloodlines if you dont mind me asking. Thank you for your time and I hope to hear back from you soon!
The coterie is leaning towards low clans and being built around the idea of cornering the crime and underbelly of Florence. Setite, Tremere, Gangrel and Ravnos have been bandied about. Tremere is really the only concrete clan however. Conceptually, the coterie is looking politically motivated through the criminal underground
