[Weekly Downtime Thread][Spring IV 1524 HC]

Please post any of your downtime activities below. You can find the full rules for downtime here . You can find last week's downtime thread here.
Ingund will be finishing her training towards level 1 of Fighter. Teresa will spend her time in the Cohort's libraries researching Morrendeep. Ideally trying to find out as much as she can about it: The history of it, what things might live there, its exact location, any reasons a person might go there.
Assuming the threshold is reached, Hunter will level up to 3rd and become a Gloom Stalker.
rudence will do some research on what has happened at the castle in Roesone when the halo of antlers appeared above the heads of the couple. She will look for answers from Liri if she can find her. She would also like to find out more about Bardenhold, and the title she was gifted. She would also let the Baroness know that the surname the twins have chosen for themselves is Duskhart. Crest:
Diesa Gemfire Location: Diesa spends some time in Daugren, Grevesmühl with her family Training: Under Presphine's tuteledge Diesa has learned much on the nature and technique of magic and so when not spending time with her family in Daugren is off to practice either in a quiet part of the Dwarf Quarter or a short ways beyond the city walls. She finally masters some simple spells and is able to cast consistantly as well as implement a few magical tricks into her martial technique. (3rd of 3 requires downtimes taking Eldritch Knight archetype) Other: Diesa asks her father and brother if they have heard any news about the realm of Baruk-Azhik while working in King Kallen's mission and if possible whether the diplomats there could point her in the direction of any historians or scholars specialising in that area. Lambert Sulverin Location: Lambert travels back to Bleak Holm and spends the cycle there Training: With Bleakholm lacking a priest or even a patch of consecrated ground anymore, Lambert - being an invested cleric of Ruornil - invests much of his days using those gifts tending to the spiritual needs and healing services of the people there. And in the evenings taking advantage of the quiet and isolation of the island to contemplate and study the esoteric teachings of his deity. Other: Using half of the money rewarded to him by the Cohort, 50 gp, Lambert starts a fund to begin repairs on the old church - offering to pay for workers wages, passage to the island and the materials needed to atleast see the holes in the walls securely boarded, new doors put on and a simple roof to keep the rain out. He would also spread the word that a priest of Nesirie, the Sea Goddess, would be welcome to take up residence.
Robert would spend his time trying to learn the ropes of his new title by studying about other lords of Roesone in the library or by leveling up, given enough experience. Takumir will further hone his skills with the pike or gain some new knowledge, as the performance in his last battle left him very unsatisfied. If there is enough experience to level up, he will pursue the first downtime, if not, he will attempt to study about goblins using pack tactics in the past in the library of the Arcanum. Shango will spend his week in spiritual meditation, finding his inner center. He will level up, given enough experience. If there is not enough, he will let this week pass by, trying to get used to the arcanum.
Ayoval: A man wearing a mask similar to the one Ayoval often once wore finds his way to the halls of the Arcanum. He introduces himself as Yonval the master keeper of the temple of Hosval. He asks to meet with the Kallanon and gives solemn words of thanks for taking his member into the fold and gathers up his non mission related items to be brought back to the temple. Before leaving he asks a favor of the Cohort Arcanum "Ayoval was a good man and devout to his cause, he constantly wrote back excited what good he was doing in these far off towns cut off from our services. All I wish is that this creature he has been malformed into be put to rest soon so that his soul may be returned back into our fold, for service to the Harbingers is needed even after your mortal body is no longer. The Temple of Hosval will try and put together a suitable reward for such a deed." Korak: His recent expedition coming out victorious, Korak would finally take some time for himself. Looking to use his crafting skill set he will contact the jewelers from Trie and ask if they could write a letter of commendation for his impressive jewelers work during his last visit (Nat 20 for a 25 roll) so that he may more easily find high quality local work. If he receives this writ Korak would try and find a well known craftsmen district known for their quality and see if any would host him for work during his downtime.  Hedrin: The boy enjoys his training with master Exoban and starts to feel the old mans burden of caring for him, in order to lighten his load Hedrin decides to head over to the Arcanum library and study books on magical curses and diseases in hopes of finding something relevant to his situation. Lolgon: Excited to adventure once again, Lolgon heads to the halls of the Arcanum in hopes of impressing its members and joining the fold. Also he takes a look around to see if any he has met on his lifetime of travel are still part of the Arcanum or have joined it.
Agatha will spend her downtime in Bardenhold in Roesone, exploring their new home as well as spending as much time as possible with Emily. She will also try to keep an eye on Lord Saxton and see what he is up to now that he lost his title.
Darvius will spend his week practicing with the scepter they obtained from the Fish Priestess seeing if he can make it work as a martial arts club. He will also ask for the help of his friend Orithar Trisk in researching the item's history and magical properties.
Orithar Trisk:  He will look to acquire a pearl worth 100gp so start to identify different items. He will be spending the week examining the different items he has acquired up until this point. Firstly the sceptre that was off the Fishman. Each item will be studied, cataloged for any magic knowledge or properties they hold. Other items of note: Sample of the glue-like fluid found in the room, could this be recreated? Blood sample from the teleportation pool used by the necromancer, she was able to use it to locate our location. Possible experimentation into blood magic. Tadpool sample from the crypt, test on mice. Silver and Golden mirrors that were used to reflect magical energy, can the reflective properties put into a ring or the skin, or transferred into a different item. Silver necklace with an eye from the beholder's servant. Used goat horn from the queen of witches, could it be recharge with magic energy or at least make an instrument?  He won't be seen during the week of investigation and research.  Siegfried Morton: With his 20 gold worth of sample. He will try and find someone in the area with money and a reputation that would be suitable for his business proposition. He will try and schedule a small meeting to organize some kind of small scale distribution, he has plenty of stories from working on ships with past smuggling operations, so would have a degree of past experience. He will be looking for 2000 gold investment to acquire 1 crate of the product for the requested price of 1000gold. With any luck, he can get a small distribution network going to the north. In short smuggling operation.  Dragomir "Drago" Black: Will be slacking off as always but still working with Presphine each day. (level up). Looking for that book again. He will also see if there any places that are off-limits (library, study rooms, private quarters) and try and have a peek for the excitement.
Tarkus Creed will be splitting his time between learning about the old heroes of old and more about the different peoples of this place (Expertise in performance and persuasion) at the Royal Library of Avanil Continue learning Andu And visiting his "Mother" and friends with the travelling caravans He write a new Sonnet in honour of all he has seen so far  And in doing so unlocks some of his real mothers powers over people's minds, ... much to his Dismay (level up to 3rd, Sub class college of College of Glamour)   So Far part 1  This is a beautiful falsehood,  That he might dream of such radiant heights To witness a world untainted by his blood  and be rid of such pitiful birthrights But no, That frightful cage still holds us still low be the one who strikes at a frighted child for being who they are of there own free will  Called them a freak, hot brand in hand and Smiled White pain flashes, a memory forgotten A small boy, being told the truth, he is fell he lays awake on a bed of cotton  A boy full of life with a rotten shell no need for pity, there's more to come  corse after all this is only part one
Downtime is officially CLOSED. I will be getting out the responses for this week shortly.
Ingund Ingund spends some time training, resting, and adjusting to her new vision. She makes progress, and learns new ways to improve her fighting techniques. Teresa Teresa spends time looking for old records of Morrendeep, but she doesn't manage to find anything of much importance. She does however find a few notes scattered throughout the the library in books she thinks should have information on Morrendeep. The text seems to move, shift, and have something prophetic to its nature. When she shows it to others they all seem to see a different word in it, and some don't see anything at all. For Teresa it reads D͘҉i̴̧͘͘͘e̷̕͟ś҉҉a̛̕. Hunter Hunter spends time learning the ways of The Gloom Stalkers, and developing his skills to the next level. Prudence Prudence spends some time doing some research, and discovers that she performed a version of the Ceremony spell. Though she isn't sure rather she could do so again. Unfortunately Liri cannot be found to answer her questions. Prudence discovers that Abbatuor was once home to nothing more than bandits, and thieves. Some generations ago a bandit lord by the name of Brosuine Saxton was given the choice to keep his lands and head by submitting to the house of Roesone, or to lose them both by declining. He wisely accepted. The land is sparsely populated with no human settlements more than 10 miles away from The Spider River. With that said recently Lord Saxton has been ordering his men to "trim" the forest, and there now exists a large gap within the 5 miles near the river (and the forest has been significantly thinned for another 5 miles after that). The forest doesn't resume until you get to Illien across the water. Many bandits also still roam the woods, and province. In fact during Prudence's time resting she learns that their presence is no secret at all! Many bandits quite openly 'tax' the local civilians. Including her guards, servants, and fledgling house! As for her castle she discovers that it was originally built by Old Nae Barden, and a band of some 30 other bards. The clan existed up until recently, but vanished suddenly when the last lord took his place at the castle. Prduence also discovers her lands have a small number of rangers who do what they can they can to maintain the woods, but who have been pushed back by Lord Saxton's men. Finally, Prudence receives a letter from a courier. To Countess Prudence, the Blessed Alseid, and my beloved Fiance. I am glad to see you have taken residence in Bardenhold! I will soon travel there myself so that we can make our marriage official! This should appease the Baroness who obviously intended for us to marry considering she did not strip me of any of my titles nor lands! I am lucky to have such a beautiful, magical, and gift giving creature as my humble wife. I would love to discuss things with you more personally, and I will be sure to look after our domain whilst you do your important work for The Cohort Arcanum. With love, Henry Saxton, Lord of Abbadiel, Lord of Talmoere's Ferry, Count of Abbatuor, Lord of the Storm Tower, and your beloved fiance. Diesa Diesa you finish practicing your magic, and find that your spells are finally ready for battle! Congrats on becoming an eldritch knight! Diesa hears from her family that Throlgred Graybeard, the son of Overthane Grim Graybeard has recently been assassinated! Rumour has it that it was done by an agent of The Chimera, and the dwerren are clanging for war! The monsters cut poor Throlgred's head clean off, and gave his brain to The Chimera as a trophy! Lambert The village of Bleak Holm gladly welcomes Lambert to come stay with them at no cost! His meditations, and spiritual insights improve his powers while he is there. Additionally He gains 2 points of renown in Bleak Holm for both looking after the residents, and helping to repair the old church. Robert Robert spends time training, learning, and on the cosmic insight of the gods. Congrats on level 3! Takumir Takumir spends time honing his skills, and progressing as a fighter. Congrats on level 3! Shango Shango spends time meditating, training, and adjusting to his new life. Unfortunately this doesn't seem to result in any improvement to his abilities (not enough experience for level 2). Korak Korak spends his time living in squalid conditions, but leaves the month 48ss richer. Hedrin Hedrin digs all through the library of The Cohort Arcanum, but doesn't manage to find anything that he is looking for. Agatha Agatha spends time looking into Lord Saxton, but sadly she doesn't discover too much. She does however get the chance to read the letter he sent to her sister, as well as the rest of the information Prudence discovered about his activities (see above). She also receives a drawing from Emily. The toddler becomes particularly attached to Agatha. Darvius Darvius spends time practicing with the scepter, and discovers that it handles in the same way as a mace. Orithar helps him discover the properties of the weapon. Orithar Trisk Orithar spends some time researching the various items. Mother Seriena's Scepter This scepter has a large circular glass fish eye on the top of it. The weight of the weapon is completely off even for a mace, but the construction of it is quite beautiful. This weapon counts as a club that weighs 8 lbs., deals 1d6 bludgeoning damage, and 2d6 lightning damage. It does however come with a -4 penalty to hit. It likely has some importance to those fish people, but how so is a mystery. None of the other items appear to have any magical properties. Siegfried Morton Siegfried isn't able to find a single person even remotely interested in this proposition. Dragomir "Drago" Black Drago slacks off during his downtime, but somehow still manages to learn a few new things from his master. Tarkus Creed Tarkus unlocks some of his powers, and grows in strength. He also grows his knowledge of both performing, and persuasion. OOC note: Players are restricted to one major downtime action per week. I'll sometimes allow some other minor things, but learning a language would be considered a major action.
