Good morning, I'm running a Numenera game which has gone on for about a year and a half. PCs are about to reach Tier 4, but one of the players has to leave in the next few weeks because of scheduling conflicts. I'm looking to bring in a new player. Weekly game, text only, Inclusive+, 5pm to 9pm Pacific every Saturday, Experience with Numenera or the Cypher System a plus, but not required. Reliable players only, please. It's a billion years in the future. The earth has seen the rise and collapse of eight previous civilizations. Civilizations which spanned the galaxy, which has spanned other realities, which has spanned time, and even reached into the higher dimenions. The Ninth World is our emerging new civilizaion, building atop the remnants of the previous eight, bits of which still survive to this day. "Wish You Were Now" is a Numenera tale about a group of people who have become unstuck in reality. As the PCs travel they experience shifts, and they meet other versions of themselves and people they know. There's a larger mythology at work, and this is my third game set in the same "reality," built on events from those other two games. The earth has two moons (identical, one folllowing the other by two days) because of something PCs did in the second game a few years ago. A prominent NPC is dead (but that hasn't stopped her from enjoying life), because of something that happened in the first game. PCs in this game have already saved reality from collapsing once (though don't ask them how they managed that!), and now pursue a more personal mystery by seeking out one of the legendary Iyenes. And... there's an octopus. Just thought I should mention that. As a GM, it's my job to build a world and fill it with characters and opportunities for adventure. As GM of a game of Numenera , it's my job to make it weird . If you want some weird, reply here or in DMs.
