[LFG][5E] Player & GM Returning to The Game after a looong break, have some Questions

It's been a massively long time since I played D&D in general, around 3 years, and that was 4E.  I'm looking at coming back into the game super late and was curious if there are groups that would be accepting of a player new to 5e interested in developing into a part time or full time DM of the group.  My hours currently are extremely flexible and I'm not expecting that to change for 6 months or more.  I am on Pacific Standard Time but my sleep cycle is wonky so overall I can work with almost anything. If the first part is doable, I have some questions about the reinvestment.  I'm planning on being pretty much fully digital and wanted a review of my plans for how to put the money to the best use.  Firstly, with Roll20 itself: I was thinking I'd go with the Plus membership, but I'm curious if I wouldn't have access to the already created 5E character sheets or if the Pro level bonus is more about the ability to edit those same sheets, anyone know? In regards Sourcebooks, Adventures, and extra content, I'm looking at getting all the books and such through DnD Beyond with either a Hero or Master subscription, and I'm thinking of getting the Sourcebook bundle along with a few adventures if only for helping to sort of acclimate my own adventures in the right style, formatting, other things like that.  Does anyone have any yea or nay on that idea, or perhaps maybe a few thoughts they'd like to share in general before diving in? Really, I'm just looking to see if the community has a place for me, and what advice current players and GM's might offer to someone making a return with big dreams.  :)  Thanks in advance for all responses, I've missed the game and the friendly creativity it fostered in me.   Note: I'll be updating my profile and other stuff as I go, just getting my toes wet currently.
You can probably join my games as a filler, I also have a wonky schedule I would say give both things a try as a free player first before fully investing. You can definitely DM games using free subscriptions just fine, just that PRO has access to dynamic lighting, API and various etc features. After DMing for an extended amount of time with these features, you start to actually retract from these features as setting the perfect map complete with dynamic lighting continuously can become taxing. All you really need is a map, handouts with images of a place and theatre of the mind from there. Combat can simply take place on a blank battlemap and you can draw marks for special environment stuff. Additionally you may develop an addiction to google spreadsheets or google docs. Some of the sourcebooks can be a hit or miss, I love the tyranny of dragons story but the design shows its age compared to storm king's thunder where it has both the flexibility and organized chapter structure. Waterdeep, Tomb of annihilation or Curse of Strahd can be a hit or miss for your buck as its dependant on your players if they enjoy dungeon delving or the gothic themes, maybe the players you have gathered may prefer other themes. 5e is good in the way that its broad and simple, leaves more room to tell stories or adopt various things. It takes on average a completely new player 1-3 months on average to know almost every classic monster or every common build, I definitely recommend joining the westmarch servers as it exposes you to a lot of information fast, compared to a private game which may happen weekly or bi-weekly

I might take you up on that @Kain, thank you!  Currently getting a few things set in place so I'll have a more definite answer within a week or so, I honestly didn't expect to get any answers so quickly, let alone a friendly invite, with apologies.  Also, just spectating is probably a good option for me at start, so long as people don't mind me asking questions here and there (that aren't a constant interruption, natch). Edit: Almost missed asking this, but: "the westmarch servers," ?  Sorry, not familiar.  (I'll do a google search but figured I'd ask as well)
Westmarches is a game style thats like, imagine if a DM ran games for three tables using the same setting, but they take place in the world at the same time. Actions of a group can affect another as well as discoveries or findings. The group has more chances to interact with each other, sharing information, knowledge and gear to explore, or achieve a certain goal. Most take the form of play by post (pbp) which will be the common platform you will see as it would be easier to run (personally I think roll20 is better) and this is done via text. Every action, dialogue or event is done through text. On the otherhand I know some people do it on roll20 rooms instead. You can find some of their LFG posts in here and you have to complete their application forms in their forums to join.
