[LFP] [EST] [FREE] [D&D 5E] Professional DM Looking For An Established Group To Vibe With!

Hello, there intrepid heroes of the Forgotten Realms! My name s Evan and I'm extremely excited to offer my talents to established groups, new and old. Oh and of course I'm LGBTQ friendly as well.  This isn't so much an ad for one singular game as I want groups to come over to my end of the river and say, "Hey we're really interested in doing this theme/setting/module/ and we would be really excited to play with you."  I'd, of course, have a few questions to ask but more than likely you want to know about me before even PMing me in the first place. Age: 22 (Yes I'm a little baby adult) Timezone: EST  DM Style: I like to say that I'm a very improvisational DM that focuses on letting the players make big moves when they can and dealing with the fallout of said big moves. For example, one of my past players started a cybernetic revolution in Waterdeep and abolished the slavery of machines. That, of course, caused a power imbalance that was held up by another player who became a prophet for machine kind. I'm not the kind of guy who makes you feel like your on a railroad so to speak. Also, I try to model my playstyle of the Legendary DM Brennan Lee Mulligan.  Favorite Modules: Dragon Heist, with Curse of Strahd as a close second and Out Of The Abyss as my third. Although that last one isn't on Roll 20 yet I'd be more than happy to play it out. Strengths: I love third party content which can surprise the heck out of players, I give magic items and levels out at a more than fair rate, I try to keep the combat and roleplay aspects 50/50 respectively. I'm a complete Bisexual disaster as well so my NPC's will more than likely have varied sexual preferences if you're interested in that. I'm also a music guy so when in a special bit of combat or I'm trying to set a mood I'll put on music for everyone. Weaknesses: I'm picky when it comes to groups. If we mesh, we mesh for life, if we don't, more than likely we split by session 0. I'm always a little nervous during the 1st session so when picking me, bare in mind that I truly hit my stride on that 2nd session.  So yeah if you have an established group that needs a truly fun DM please PM me so we can begin a wonderful game that all enjoy. Hello, ive been a DM for over 20 years, and i have to say. You have the right attitude. Its really nice to see more DMs having this mentality.  Id be very happy to join your group, i dont have a big group tagging along, but id be more than ready to make some new friends. 

Oh well, thank you very much! I'm taking in established groups at the moment but if we're short on members I'll be more than happy to interview some solo rollers that comment on this.

Hey, going to echo Phenrix with the notion of DM style and right attitude.  Two thumbs up.  So i have a game that i am running on saturday evenings into session 4 tonight. And the group is already relatively established. However, i would be more than willing to give up my DM spot to someone else in order to be a player instead. not that i would completely stop my game, just it would be on pause.  especially if things didn't work out or we all didn't mesh up. I understand how that is.  two of my players are west coast, one is central and the other like myself are EST.  let me know what your thoughts are or PM me and we can chat.

I'm in the market for a new group to join. I love your attitude though, I 100% agree that it's best when rp and combat are in balance with each other. If you still have room for a player, I would love to join.

Sounds great, Mama Loon and Bird, I'm actually starting a list for players that don't have an established group. If I don't find anything I'll more than likely begin pooling people together and palling around with them so this is great!

So this thread clearly doesn't need it because you're all nailing the head on the things that make Evan a great DM - but I thought I'd drop by to say I currently play in one of his games and it's literally the best. We're a small group but we all have fun, Evan is great at adapting and going with the flow as well as encouraging character growth alongside whatever epic plots he has planned. I always look forward to our Friday games :)
