Looking for a Mentor, who is willing to go through a lot of stupid questions.

I’m a noob, just saying how it is 😅. I learn almost everything better with a “teacher” guiding me through the terrain that is tabletop gaming. I just really want to start, but don’t really know where. If you think that you can help a dunce and maybe even make a friend, then please help! (I’m desperate)

Hello. I'm also a bit of a noob by comparison to the many people that have been playing for years or decades and definitely remember being in your position. But I've been playing for a while now and actually started running my first campaign for a group of beginners last week. Having found that I actually prefer being DM over being a player, I've been considering trying to get a second group of newer players together for an additional weekly campaign. If you might be interested, feel free to contact me either here or on Discord at Myst#3998. This also goes for any other new players that might happen upon this thread. :) (I'd also like to add, as it seems to be a rarity here, that I do not currently and currently have no intentions to ever charge as DM and would be happy to answer questions even if you're not ready to jump into a game.)
What sort of game are you looking for, and what is your schedule like?
From a quite veteran DM and player I am willing to help but my time is somewhat limited so for small things that would be no problem, but if you need hours upon hours of my time, we will need to work something out

I can pick up pretty much everyone here. But I am currently running a homebrew sort of deal. You're all welcome to come but I know homebrew doesn't get much love on R20. Message me if you want the details.
