As the only guests here you warm yourselves beside the blazing hearth and converse with your companions. Dinner is served by the innkeeper’s daughter. The jollity of the night carries on until one by one each of you goes to bed. All that remain is the crackling of the flames and the screams of the wind coming down off the mountain whose peak looms over the town. Tonight you sleep in a warm bed and enjoy the comforts of what little civilization there is in this corner of the world. Tomorrow...you head up the mountain. Up that mountain to the peak that fills you with an uncanny feeling of dread. Legends say that once people lived up there, did something bad up there, and now there is nothing there. Nothing but gold...
