Reset a Compendium

Hello, I did not realize that when I dragged a monster out of the compendium and made changes to it, it affect the "original" in the compendium. So I now have a monster in the PF2 compendium that doesn't have the correct image and may have different stats. Is there any way to RESET the compendium to the original values? And, assuming that works, how do I take a monster out of the compendium, put in in play and make changes (a.k.a. reskin it ) without affecting the original in the compendium? Thanks!

Everything's OK, you haven't actually changed the compendium copy.   If you drag, say, a goblin, from the compendium and then make changes, that's the "goblin" for your game. A subsequent compendium drag of the same named creature will actually drag your journal copy. The compendium copy is still intact This is the expected behavior and is to keep you from accidentally overwriting any homebrew edits. You have two ways to work with this. 1. Rename the local goblin to something other than "Goblin" 2. Delete the local journal copy of Goblin from your game and drag a fresh one from the compendium. It sounds like you want option 1. This could give you "Goblin spear thrower", "Goblin zombie", "Goblin Wizard" and so forth, all built from the base Goblin from the compendium.

Thanks for the info, but sadly, that is not the behavior I am experiencing. It IS what I thought would happen, but when I drag a Vampire Count from the compendium on to the map, the token is the one I added, not the original one. I did create a new campaign and the compendium was intact, so the changes seem local to that campaign's copy. I am about to see if I can copy the original token from the test campaign back to the 'broken' one and replace it.

two things: first, I managed to 'fix' it by a roundabout way of using the URL from the token in my temp campaign to bring over the token and put it back in. Second, I reread your instructions more carefully and realized that  had not erased the journal copies. I will test this now and try to learn to RTFI next time. EDIT: just tested it and you are right. As long as a modified copy remains in the journal, all new 'pulls' from the compendium will reflact whatever changes I made. If I delete the journal copy and try again, I get the original version. THANK YOU! I was worried there for a minute.
