So I am a huge Dungeons & Dragons fan, especially the Forgotten Realms. I’ve played the games, I’m fascinated by the lore, and have a fairly good understanding of the mechanics. The only problem is I’ve never been able to find a group near me that I can play with. I started hearing about Roll20 and playing with a group online and I thought I would see what response I got here! I’m interested in a Forgotten Realms campaign, but otherwise I’m fairly open! I love high fantasy and dark fantasy, as well as Lovecraftian horror, so there’s a lot of material to work with. I own all three of the core 5e rulebooks (or at least I will whenever they’re shipped to my house) and feel confident I could start a new campaign with a good amount of confidence. Definitely more interested in being a player than a DM to start, but I’m definitely open to learning (and hoping to! I have a lot of fun and creative ideas.) Minor thing, I’d like to be in an LGBT+ friendly group, I’ve had not so welcoming experiences in the past and I am a gay man, so, ya know, always wanna feel welcome. I also have art experience, having gone to school for animation & video game design. So I can provide illustrations and supplemental material for the experience, especially with the interface of Roll20. I can do character art, landscapes, action scenes, etc etc. just let me know! And of course it will all depend on my free time as well, once the world goes back to normal and I have to go back to work.
