Hello! I'm Jacob, and I'd like to test the waters of Pathfinder on Roll20. My in person meetings have stalled for obvious reasons. I'd like to drop in on a game to see how things work. I won't commit to more than a session at a time, though. I'd like to learn how to use Roll20 to run my games. I'm willing to draw up a character from scratch or use a character out of my stable of theorycrafted ones. I'd like to join in between levels 1 and 4, no need to let the mechanical complexities of the game get in the way of learning the mechanical complexities of Roll20. I'm comfortable in any party role, though I think I'd prefer one of the following: Half-Elf Unchained Rogue that uses an Elven Branched Spear and Gang Up to safely-ish contribute to fights, and uses Minor Magic: Detect Magic and Major Magic: Vanish in combination with the Rogue's skillset to contribute out of fight. Human Fighter who shoots a bow. Probably the most DPR build I'm putting forward here. Depending on the stats, can be a Survival and Knowledge: Nature guy, or just a maxed Perception guy. Dwarf Cleric of Desna who uses Healing Hands to get crazy high healing capabilities, but can mix it up in a fight too. Original concept was a Hellspawn Tiefling, but I should probably reign in the inner munchkin for the test run. Now that I think of it, the Dwarf version of the build is pretty substantial, especially with Weapon Familiarity bringing out Battleaxes and freeing up deity choices to consider more than just the favored weapons. Elven Conjuration Wizard, Teleportation subschool. Crazy high initiative, probably also crazy tricky to run on Roll20 because on tabletop I've got him spamming piles of 1d4+1 Augmented Celestial Eagles all over the enemy. Probably should just stick to Create Pit and Grease for the trial run. Surely between these four, I can run something useful to your group. You may also notice that I really enjoy complicated, technical builds that take one line out of about seven sources. I'm willing to limit myself to as few sources as necessary, but if I don't have any ideas I'll throw up my hands and make a Dwarven Battle Cleric, I've got a sweet concept that runs on Core only. In terms of roleplay, I'd be in drama-defuser mode, maximum compatibility. I'm not interested in making waves on my first foray into an unfamiliar format. However, if we continue, you should know now that being a forever-GM has made me into a bit of a pot stirrer, but all in good fun. I have no tolerance for people who hurt others for entertainment, and I won't tolerate that behavior from me least of all. Learning objectives 1, How to make and share a character sheet for Roll20. 2, How to make and use macros for combat. 3, How to customize tokens. 4, How to fully utilize the journal. I'm also a decent rules lawyer, and I'm pretty good about holding back my consultations until they're asked for. I'd be happy to look over anyone else's character sheet and see if there's any tweaks that could help, or just to appreciate the craft. Thanks for reading the long post! Jacob
