Stuck at Restarting sandbox due to script changes...

Umm ... Hello? Heeelooo?? Echoooo !! Yea, I am paying the Pro subscription for this app and I have a million issues with it. Now, instead of me playing with my players and having a good time decapitating goblins, I have this: Restarting sandbox due to script changes...| Restarting sandbox due to script changes... Restarting sandbox due to script changes... Restarting sandbox due to script changes... So on and so forth, you get the idea. I am MIGHTY PISSED, so can your devs DO something about this ? THANK YOU ... and god bless. Maybe.
Also stuck at starting up scripts. Guessing part of the roll20 servers are down

Yes, because Roll20 servers are powered up by dead hamsters that walk backwards. Just three: - Power Cards - Alter Bar - Status Marker I am using as little as possible. I wish sometimes Roll20 was a standalone application ... I would still pay for it, I would still use it as is, but it would be SO DAMN NICE to have it as stand alone app and let gm's host the game on their compy.

Raul - Tiberiu I. said: Yes, because Roll20 servers are powered up by dead hamsters that walk backwards. LOL. I'm sure it's a "little" more robust than that. Thoughts; have you tried restarting the API? Disabling all scripts and enabling one at a time to try and isolate? You also might post a screencap of your API log. It may just be an issue with the server's hamsters. The API has been rather sluggish lately with the heavier than normal influx of new users. Devs might need to look into it (submit a bug report if it doesn't resolve on it's own or through troubleshooting)
Everything of note has been done: - disabling each and every scripts and also deleting them. Lucky I keep a js library close on my personal git. - there is no relevant API log, just the "Restarting ..." message. - Restart API button is unresponsive at this point in time. I am in total agreement that the servers are sluggish BUT this is just a very bad excuse. I am working in IT Security and me and the team managed to get TEN THOUSAND users acces a VPN cluster with minimal downtime and latency. I believe the worst I have is 48 ms ping and that is from London to the VPN in Pune. Thus I believe the Roll20 network team and not the API or the server is sluggish and slow to respond to this new happenstance, where instead of 100 peeps per shard there are now 1000 peeps per shard. This means that neither the development team nor the network team have thought out expansion or sudden user influx. Hence me being upset. I want to decapitate goblins. Instead I am doing debugging. Whe' muh goblins?

There might be a trend forming... https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/8551542/api-sandbox-and-game-hang-on-starting-up-new-sandbox

Basically their virtualization crashed and they need to reboot the entire vSphere. There'll be a downtime between 6 to 12 hours. Good luck getting your game working, everyone!
I sure hope Roll20 folks are seeing all these "API slow/crashing" complaint threads and making it a priority to improve their servers, fast.
Hey all - We’re investigating an issue with the API. To best consolidate communication and reports, I’m going to be closing this post. Please follow the main thread regarding this issue seen here . Thank you!
