Campaign setting: The new continents to the West, Kalista, was often theorised by scholars for era, yet the Stalwart Blue, the expanse of ocean far West of The Sword Coast and the Trackless Sea, blocked all modes of transportation across, physical and magical. And yet, for some reason, 540 years ago, the sea opened for the first time. In a race to get to be the new explorers of uncharted land, to set up a new kingdom with a strong foothold on a continent untapped of resources, colonialization races begun between nobles and lords, rich merchants, and even desperate family men who saved up all of their money. It is not known what happened to the first wave, for The Stalwart Blue shortly closed up after, the ships that weren't lucky to get past in time swamped away forever into it's depths, and the ships just behind, left to bare witness to the carnage. It opened once more, another 90 years later, and yet no one dared to travel through. When it opened for the third time, a noble elf by the name of Vesstan Elaynore travelled through with a band of family and friends. It was not known what happened to Vesstan and his compatriots, until the sea opened up once more, and a boat travelled back, with it news of the word of Vesstan himself, detailing how his country of Vesdin settled on the new continent, and found great success, with it came over new minerals and riches yet unseen to this continent. Noblemen and lords alike once again lined up in their boats at The Stalwart Blues' start, and when it opened once more, another 90 years since last, they rushed through, finally making it in time. Since then, countries have risen and fallen, yet with the 90 year period, communication is null, even with the use of magic, and yet those with power in Kalista, have power on the Sword Coast, houses of the noblemen that rushed to the new land have seen more power on the Sword Coast, no thanks to the bias in getting the richer new treasures. And so, 70 years after the Dragonborn city Tymanther found itself being transported to The Sword Coast, just months after Tiamat the dragon queen was slain, and just days after the people of Sword Coast found Baldur's Gate go missing, the seas opened once more after their 90 year slumber. You have arrived from the new boats merely a week ago Established party of five (excluding DM) looking for a sixth. Party has known eachother for no longer than 6 sessions. (include "Ox God" in your application, or you'll be ignored) We aren't looking for someone who plays for goofs (though it's shown that goofs sometimes do happen, especially with a Wild Magic 1d10000 Sorcerer, and an ox ascending to god-hood, with a party who got a whole town high, and constantly calling the DM "linguine arms), and are looking for someone who can what roleplay (an attempt on the voice is desirable). As a DM, admittedly a year ago, I was a rather DM vs Players type of DM, however I'm trying to change that, so I apologise if that comes around again. If you do plan to play around a resurrection type of character, don't, we will talk more about that in the interview. Send this application format filled out to me in discord, failure to do so will be met with being ignored Preferred Name:Preferred Pronouns:Age:Experience with roleplaying games:Experience with roll20:Character idea (give a rough backstory added in match with the campaign premise):The type of player you are: Add me on Discord Goopy#9006 I'm in a rush so this is rushed, but we can talk more in our interviews.
