Are you looking for a break from your regularly scheduled campaign?  Is your busy schedule keeping you from joining any games?  Are you a GM who wants to play again? Try a oneshot! I'm offering oneshot modules for $5 per player per game.  I'm an experienced GM with an extensive background in stage/voice acting and improv.  I've been playing tabletop RPG's for about 14 years total and I've been playing on Roll20 for nearly five years, logging nearly 2000 hours on the Roll20 platform (~90% of which has been GM'ing).   I'm currently presenting 3 modules with descriptions below.  If people seem to like this idea, I'll offer a wider array of modules in the future. Against the Barrow King When your party decides to stay the night in the small village of Riverholde, you hear a distressing tale. Three months ago, the villagers awoke one morning to  discover that a house at the edge of their village had been sacked and all its occupants had gone missing. In the weeks that followed, the raids  continued, perpetrated by hooded figures. It became ever more apparent to the frightened people of Riverholde that the raiders were taking their fellow villagers west, toward the ancient burial ground that lays beyond the forest.  The villagers now  believe that the raiders are the servants of the legendary Barrow King come to punish the them for some unknown  transgression.  Can you aid the villagers in their fight against the Barrow King? GM's Notes: This is a module for 4-6 3rd level characters. It's a challenging (but not punishing) "kick down the door and fight the monster" style dungeon-crawler that newer players can use to hone their grasp of D&D mechanics, and experienced players will enjoy for its classic style of gameplay. Castle Zadrian When your party receives notice that Lady Elena Zadrian is looking for a stalwart group of adventurers to undertake a task of utmost importance, you aren't surprised to hear that her father, the legendary alchemist Sir Timoth Zadrian, has gone missing.  Fearing that his castle has been beset by brigands, or that one of his experiments has gone horribly wrong, or something worse, she promises to pay your party handsomely if you can travel to his castle and the nearby village of Cuthdere, and determine the cause of his disappearance. GM's Notes This is a module for 4-5 4th level characters.  It's a challenging (but not punishing) balance of dungeon crawling, role playing, magic, and combat that's fun for players of all experience levels. The Last Gods Late one night, while your party is gathered around the campfire, a dark entity appears from within the flames.  He announces that he is Balrath, a destroyer god whose power is rivaled only by entropy itself.  He tells the party that he comes from their future, where his all-consuming hunger has destroyed the multiverse. He now exists alone in darkness, awaiting the end of time.  As his form disintegrates, he tasks the party with traveling to the Mausoleum of the Gods and killing his past self before he attains the power he now has... or they will not see tomorrow. GM's Notes: This is a module for 4-6 9th level characters. It's a punishing, puzzle-heavy, magic-focused dungeon that will test the limits of your wits, skill, and heart.  Do not get attached to your character.  Death is all but certain.  I would recommend this module only to experienced players who are looking for a significant challenge. Interested players should respond to this post with - Desired module: Desired playing time(s): Age: TTRPG experience: Desired character build: Brief summary of player's gameplay style: Gameplay notes - I currently live in the eastern US (GMT -4 right now) and I have lots of experience with scheduling games across multiple time zones, so please don't hesitate to contact me if you live somewhere other than GMT -4. Communication will be over Discord.  Audio is mandatory, video is optional.  If I'm able to place you in a group, I'll contact you privately to set up communication. Please feel free to contact me as an individual or as the representative of a player group.  I'll try to accommodate you either way. You can create your own character or I can give you a pre-generated character, either will work fine for these modules. Please be respectful of other players!  I do not tolerate player-to-player bullying, racism, sexism, homophobia, ableism, etc.  None of these modules set up the opportunity for in-game bullying or intolerance, so please don't bring it in yourself.  In short, we're all here to have fun - be cool, don't be a jerk! Please begin your reply with "Hi Weaver!!" so I know you've read the entire post. I look forward to playing with you! This game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of $5 per player per session via PayPal . Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements.
Hi Weaver! We talked in private but I'm replying here, too! Properly. My group of friends is interested in a one shot. Desired module: Castle Zadrian Desired playing time(s):  We're looking at one big session, May 23? Age: Mid 30s - Late 20s TTRPG experience: Two members have a bit both GM/DM, One played a long time ago, the others are new. Desired character build: One College of Lore Bard. Others TBD, depending on pregen characters. Brief summary of player's gameplay style: More story than rules, imagination based. Medium roleplay, but jokey. Bit like Dimension 20's Fantasy High, if you've seen it. Looking forward to a good game! Thank you! Take care!
Great to hear DeadJoe!  I'll PM you to discuss scheduling and characters with your group. (And yes, I'm a big fan of Dimension 20!  Their role-playing is wonderful.)
Hi Weaver, I was interested in your posting - would you have time to run a one-shot campaign?  I have a newer player and I think Against the Barrow King would work best (the rest are all pretty experienced D&D players).  There would be 5 of us and we are hoping to do it sometime in the next few weeks.  We are all late 20's to mid 30's and would be down to play for at least 5-6 hours.  I don't know the other players' character styles or preferences as I only know one of them personally.  Let me know if that works! Thanks, Luke
Sounds good, Luke!  I'll send you a PM so we can schedule the oneshot and discuss character-building for the party.
