Dropped Map & Background items always end up at the bottom of the z-order now

Starting today, I'm finding that whenever I drop an item onto the map & background layer, it ends up at the bottom of the z-order instead of the top like it used to. This means that to drop an item I now have to always drop it, then click the background and send that to the back before I can see my new element.

Reed, could you provide more details on where you are dropping it from? Are you dragging it from the desktop or Art Library? Could you also supply the details (except for IP address) at: http://supportdetails.com/ - Gauss
I'm dragging them in from the Art Library. As a quick note, copying/pasting seems to work fine, it's only when I drag something out of the art library and over top of something which is already on the Map & Background layer (ie: the background :) ).

Could you provide screenshots of before and after? I was unable to replicate this. - Gauss
Sure. Pictured below is a blank map, then I dragged in the fae grass tile, then I dragged the tree on. Normally the tree would end up on top, but now it always ends up on the bottom.

Thanks Reed, could you send me a join link to your game (via PM). I would like to come take a look. - Gauss
Did you happen to have the grass tile still selected before you dragged the tree onto the map?
Doesn't seem to make a difference, Jonathan. Also, this only seems to be happening to my old campaigns... I created a new campaign and gave it a try and things worked fine.

Reed, what are the names of the old campaigns it is occuring in? Riley will need to look at the code on those to see why they are doing that. In the meantime could you delete your cache and let us know if that fixes it? - Gauss
Thanks for your help! I already tried deleting the cache and also using FireFox; neither helped. The two affected campaigns are "Dibys" and "Inquisiting".
Hmm, actually, just "Dibys".

Ok Reed, I will let the Devs know. - Gauss
Thanks! Interestingly, it just stopped happening while I was in the middle of editing a map...
In the help video by Kristen, it showed and she said that the drag and drop goes to the back and you have to move the map to the back in order to get those tiles to the front. So how did that get past the Devs? o_0

Eric, which video did this appear in? (Please post the link so I don't have to hunt for it. :) ) - Gauss

Thanks Eric. Huh, learn something new every day. I don't usually stack images and I can't ever remember a case where I was stacking them while something was selected. Ill have to play with this some to see if I can replicate the problem. - Gauss
I have the same problem in my campaign. It's a bit annoying expecially for text: everytime I write a note on another counter, I have to take the counter to te back to make the note visibile, else the text goes to the last layer z-index (or what you use for indexing the layer sovrapposition)

Same thing happens when you disard a card from your hand. The card often disappears.
I often have the same behavior as the OP.
It took a while but I was able to figure this one out. It was tricky because it turns out this was only affecting things you added to the tabletop where the image wasn't already cached in your browser. It should be fixed now. The easiest way to test it is to just upload something via drag-and-drop to a layer where you already have a large object (like a big map). It should appear on top of the map. If the bug is still there, it will briefly appear above the map, then go below it. This should now be fixed on both Main and Dev (you'll have to reload if you're in-game). It was the same bug affecting the card discard as well, Pat. Thanks!
Nice catch! Thanks!

Riely In teh game tonight the first card dropped from anyone's hand onto the table disappeared - I'm guessing below the map somewhere. All following cards showed up on top of the map as expected. Game was on Main Server - "Steve's Pirate Campaign"
