More detail? You cannot add art? You cannot define default tokens? Tokens are not appearing correctly when pulled from the journal? What does happen when you try? Are you a player or a gm in the game?
I am having a similar issue. I cannot add default tokens to the description of a Journal page as a GM. I successfully drag and drop art under the "upload" (top portion) of the page. However the lower "default token" window causes the image when dropped to be viewed through the Chrome browser. When using Safari the problem is similar and says "Safari Can't Open the Page" (The operation couldn't be completed. Operation not permitted" (NSPOSIXErrorDomain:1)

In case you are trying to drag/drop token art in that box, it needs to be an image/token that is on the map (and selected) to be set as a token. To my knowledge drag/drop isn't a mechanic that will assign a default token to a sheet like you can with a portrait or image handout.
Exactly, that box references a deployed art object with a large number of settings and linked attributes, not an art asset. You cannot drag and drop it into place. The text in the box explains the intended use.
