LFP - The World of TalanthE is open for you

The world of TalanthE is largely unknown but the continent of Aspa has risen from the grasp of monsters to start a civilisation. War still flares up between the seven countries of the continent. 6 adventurers will explore this world, finding monsters, helping those in need, getting caught up in political intrigue, and doing all those things that adventurers normally do. It's been a long time since I have been a DM, but after a few months as a player I am bitten by the bug. As well as Roll20, also expect some use of Discord, and the world you discover will be unveiled in World Anvil as you go along. Role playing is encouraged if not expected, this will not all be fighting.  And Inspiration points will be available for well played characters.  Similarly, an honour system may see you lose points for PCs acting outside of their moral code.  Running with D&D 5e rules, but ultimately the DMs word is the rule. Houserules may develop over time. PC races and classes may be homebrew but only with DMs approval. Did I say, inspiration points are available, especially for good role playing (role playing is expected). Not looking for your character ideas, part of the beginning will be you getting to know each other so don't want any spoilers.  But if you are interested then can you give me some idea of what kind of D&D games you enjoy, do you lean towards exploring, fighting etc.  What do you enjoy most?  What would you hope to get out of a game and what do you look for from a DM?
Schedule?
I’m interested. What’s the schedule and what’s the setting? City, Forrest, dungeon?
Looking at once a week, Thursdays 9pm EST, but that may be flexible depending on how things go. Setting - the whole world :-)  Depends on where you go.  I will do my best not to railroad, but obviously there is a limit to just how prepared I can be.  Ideally at any time there are a couple of options.
Is there an LFG posted or are you PMing links to the discord? Either way I'm also interested. Some stuff about me: -I'm a biracial, nonbinary person, so if that is for some reason a point of contention for you, I doubt we will play well together lol -I'm a pretty experienced player and sometimes DM, love to RP, and prefer rule of cool and a narrative focus over strictly sticking to the rules (although they have their place of course) That's basically it. I'm good with Inkarnate. I doodle sometimes. I'm into most nerdy junk. Excited to hear from you!
Hi Sunny Oh definitely no point of contention there.   Role play and narrative is the aim.  And that depends on the players as much as the DM.   There is a LFG posted if you can find it, or I can invite
I am interested. I enjoy games that center around exploring, group co-operation, doing good deeds, socializing, world-building and a bit of fighting of course ;)  I hope to be able to explore your world and learn more about the characters we play in a long-term campaign. And as for a DM, I simply hope for one that shows up reliably and does not railroad the players overly much or tell us what our characters are doing or thinking (without magical reason). I hope to hear from you. Be well   :)
Hi Wanderer 40 years of RPG, you must have started on AD&D like me!  Thankfully no more THAC0. I’m hoping to have that mix of exploring, socializing, and world build (the cooperation depends on the PCs). Not railroading is the hardest bit, I’m going to always try to have a couple of options, but I think this is where Roll20 struggles a bit more, if playing face to face on paper then the DM can simply riff without a map 🤣.
