Token Fate API suggestion

Not sure if this belongs in the API forum or here. For those who aren't aware of this script, it basically allows the GM to randomly select a token from a group of selected tokens.  As contained in the description:  A vicar floats above his acolytes who are being cut down by the infidels on the floor of the chapel below. Dark paralyzing energies granted by his chaotic god have the strength to affect two of the intruders, but which two? Once a group has been selected, and the API activated, a graphic shows up in text that states that:  "Fate has chosen:  [character name]" The problem lies in that his acolytes are typically interspersed among the infidels on the floor and a group selection selects all of the tokens (friends and foes alike).  As such, when Token Fate is resolved, it can select one of the acolytes (in the selected group) as opposed to one of the intended infidels.  Of course, if he rolls up an ineligible token, he can let fate choose again.  Obviously, however, this takes away from the whole ambiance of fate choosing. I know the TokenLock script is capable of differentiating between tokens whose field "controlled by" is empty and those who are player controlled.  The same approach could probably be applied here.  Those tokens that are controlled by a player within the selected group will be eligible to be selected, whereas those that are not (e.g., NPCs/monsters/etc.) would be automatically excluded. Alternatively, perhaps there is a feature I've overlooked that could make this whole change unnecessary.  If so, I would be grateful to have that feature pointed out to me.

You can multi-select individual tokens while holding the shift key instead of indiscriminately dragging an area to select an intermixed group. It may not "look" quite right as you are doing it, as the selection highlight rectangle expands to the coordinates of the outermost tokens, but don't worry it will only choose from the selected tokens! EDIT -- If you meant a group as in "Right click->Advanced->Group", then nevermind. I was making the assumption that you were drag selecting.
David -- thank you for your suggestion, it does what I need it to do.  I tried CTRL+click but didn't think to use Shift+click.
