Token movement misrepresentation

During a session (I am currently writing this while still in it) there was a 2 sqr discrepancy between the player and the others during combat. The confusion was eventually solved when we used process of elimination to find where things were supposed to be. Unfortunately I have no inclination as to what caused this. If anyone has ideas as to how this happened or if there is a preemptive method to prevent this, I'm all ears.

Do you mean that one player saw a token in one place, and everyone else in another? This sounds like a bug that a couple people have reported of specific tokens only being visible to certain players. If so, hopefully it is an isolated incident.
That describes it perfectly. I'm relatively new to Roll20, barely cresting 100hrs, but hopefully it doesn't happen again (you know how some people can get very picky about distances). If it does I will try to isolate cause and contribute to it's resolution. My first guess would be a connectivity problem that then lead to a failed/bypassed position referencing check.
