"Not authorized" error message

Hi there, My friend sent me a link to join her game, but when I entered it into Google, it said I was not authorized to access it. I've tried this in Google Chrome, Safari and Mozilla Firefox (all the latest versions) and none of them have worked. I've also followed all the steps in this forum post  but haven't had any luck. I'm using MacOS Catalina Version 10.15.5.  Any assistance would be appreciated. -Alice

Make sure the link they are sending you begins with "<a href="https://app.roll20.net/join/" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/join/</a>" followed by some code letters. DO NOT post this link openly, as anyone with that link could come in and vandalize a game. If the link does begin with that string and it is still not working, have them generate a brand new one from their campaign details page. If they have booted a player at any time, that link will change to prevent that person's re-entry.
Okay, thanks Keith, I'll give it a go! Good point about not posting the link, I should have thought of that.

You're fine. The link you did post was pretty safe, that's just the game location. It will return a "not authorized" for non-members. It's the join link that is the sensitive one.
Good to know. I got her to send me the link again and it worked this time. Thanks for your help!
