How did he do that?

I was watching  the "Dungeon of the Mad Mage | Overview and DM Prep | Roll20 Games Master Series". When the DM clicked on a pregenerated monster, it looked like that monster's stat block and sometimes even a macro appeared in the journal section. I have the DotMM bundle, but nothing like that happens when I select a token.  Any suggestions as to what I am missing?

Can you post a screenshot of what happened, it's not clear to me what you mean?

if you hold alt down when you double-click a token the associated character sheet will open.... is that what you mean?
