Looking for Players! Weekly Group Sessions Ideal (If your schedule isn't very open we may not be the group for you, sorry!)

A friend and I are looking to expand our D&D group. We're looking at 5e but might be open to other systems if people do not mind dealing with us learning the new system. With that being said we have 3 players as it stands and are looking for a DM and maybe 2-4 other players? We have two people who have experiance DM'ing but who do not wish to become the  "sole DM" of the group. That being said I'm willing to DM if we need a DM. TimeZones: PDT: 2 EST: 1 Experience not required but appreciated. Not looking for a group that is ALL RP nor a group that is ALL combat, both are great in combination but one alone can be a bit much. I have always been an avid writer and character designer but have never had people/friends to play the game with. D&D Experience: Very little, I've played pathfinders and watched some DnD, though I am a quick learner. Character Concept: Warlock, Rogue, Cleric or Bard depending on what everyone else is playing. As such with the political landscape being what it is, my newly acquired summer vacation and quarantine. I have a LOT of time on my hands. I adore medieval history, roleplaying and D&D so if you guys are going to play a game It would be nice to pop in. D&D Experience: Extensive. Uh... an embarrassing amount... actually. I've been playing pretty consistently for nine years. However it's mostly with older editions. I've only played 5e once, but given my experience and the fact that I've read the books and know how it plays in THEORY, I should be fine. Character Concept: I'm usually a Paladin/Cleric kind of person. However I'm also contacting you because I'm willing to be a DM. Name/Nickname(What you want us to call you): Abyss Age: 22 About you: Hello there, I am a guy who has a lot of time on his hands and very much is looking to pick up another D&D campaign as one just isn't enough for me to get my D&D fix. I am in EST and I only participate in campaigns with other adults. But other than that, I love D&D and roleplaying/crafting characters, and I enjoy a nice balance of combat and roleplaying. Other bits about myself are that I enjoy video games and casual writing as hobbies. D&D Experience: I only have about a year of on and off D&D experience as I've had poor luck with campaigns I've been in save for the one I've most recently found which is great. I'm pretty well versed with the rules though from the vast amount of D&D content I absorb from Youtube and Twitch. Character Concept: I have a fair number of character concepts that have been swirling around my head that I can use depending on the plot or what is needed in the group. These include: A Neutral Lizardfolk Fighter who wishes to become the strongest in order to kill the demonic entity which took over his tribe, a Neutral Human Pact of the Great Old Ones Warlock who wishes to seek out knowledge and ancient secrets for his patron and will just have this alien aspect about him that could be fun to play, a Neutral Good Grave Domain Human Cleric who is pretty spacey but seeks to fight undeath as it disrupts the natural cycle of life, and a Neutral Good Circle of Dreams Firbolg Druid who has had semi-prophetic dreams as of late that have drawn him towards something important (which can be discussed with the DM). I would really like to be in or run an "Ocean's 11" style game where the party is comprised of con- men and women, who surveil their target and swindle them. I love writing, can't do 'rithmatic (maths is hard!), and I particularly love collaborative storytelling. I am a pretty chill person, very much an LGBTQ+/BLM ally, and enjoy roleplaying in 5e. I have no problems at all with learning curves; I am not a rules lawyer and like to encourage others. I like RP but I enjoy combat as well. I think I am pretty versatile  with how I play. The important thing for me is being in a g ood-natured group and being able to have a lovely time.  Things you ABSOLUTELY DO NOT want to be present in our game: racism, toxic masculinity (well, toxic ANYTHING is bad), homophobia, sexism, basically anyone being a huge jerk.  Anything else you think might be relevant: Monday and Tuesday nights are bad for me. Wednesday - Saturday evenings are just fine. Sunday is sketchy but I could probably do a late afternoon or evening session. I have a typical 8 to 5 job Monday through Friday so I can't do morning or afternoon sessions on those days. So that's scheduling. Basically, I try to bring enthusiasm and positivity to a game. I mean, it is a GAME, right?

Character Concept: Like others, I'm cool with being flexible and filling in gaps where necessary.  I tend toward arcane classes, but I could do something like a cleric or druid, maybe a paladin.  I don't mind the idea of an "unbalanced" party, either, though.  Who wouldn't want to go all in on a party of warlocks? Discord (If you don't want to post it here feel free to PM me the info for your discord, it will be how I contact people to tell them they are in): Message incoming What you look for/want from D&D: A good mix of interesting people and fun, even deep, role play.  Feeling connected to people (and their characters) makes it more fun for everyone, right?  I'm not the biggest fan of combat, but I don't mind it if it's dynamic and tends to further the plot (though occasional "random encounters" can be fun, too, just not all the time).  Otherwise, looking for good stories, fun adventures, and maybe a little disruptive hijinx once in a while. Things you ABSOLUTELY DO NOT want to be present in our game: No edge lords?  Honestly, I'm not sure there's much I set a hard line against. Anything else you think might be relevant: I work in retail, so having a set day and time is kinda necessary so I can ensure I have the time off.  Right now, Friday (or maybe Thursday) evenings are looking the best.  But, you know, if that doesn't work for everyone else, no biggie.  I'm not all about making others rearrange their lives to accommodate my schedule.
