A quick little bit about me: I go by teronism professionally. I've been roleplaying for about 14~ years now, mostly through text via Play-by-post forums, IRC and the like. I got started with the campfire and freeform improv type 'games', later moving on to Dungeons and Dragons as a storytelling catalyst. This campaign party is looking for two or three additional players to take on the roles of intrepid and enterprising adventurers willing to take on a mysterious job with the promise of ample pay! Is your hero up to the task? The CAMPAIGN Premise :: ╔═══════════════════════════════════════════════════════╕ Setting : Vega - a high-fantasy homebrew setting. Three major factions vye for control of the mainland to expand their power, while normal folk just try to get through their day-to-day. Premise : 3rd level - Tensions continue to build on the daily in the land of Vega as the undead Empress pushes harder and harder against the Holy Regency of Bahamut that controls Satmia and all of its territories. The actions of a a few overly braggadocios individuals has caused some alarm across the continent; some refuse to take seriously the repercussions of open war between the two nations and the imbalance of power that will spawn from the divide - an imbalance the unusually quiet kingdom of Whitry may very well take advantage of… Others worry daily for the aftermath of the actions that may follow should the holy vestments deem the undead finally worthy of their attention, and what it will mean for the common folk. It is, after all, the common folk who suffer most in times of war for they are the ones put on the front lines. Already the migration out of the civilized outskirts of both Satmia and Ossea has begun; droves of honest folk who would rather take their chances in the monster and barbarian infested highlands, steppes, and forests than to be drafted into a conflict they want naught of. Whether you and the companions you run with were once deserters, simple explorers, erstwhile thieves, or some other more or less honorable profession is your own tale to tell. All the same you’ve found yourself in the easternmost region of Cregalia bordering Lithalia; here things are somewhat civil, if not all too developed. The barbarian tribes in this region migrate steadily through the year and, though there has been no direct conflict, the dwarves continue pushing into lands they have not openly claimed just waiting for someone to say something about it. The town of Starlight was founded by Lethalda Stormhammer herself and acts as a waypoint for wayward travelers seeking refuge, resources, and rumors of the region. It was here in Starlight - more specifically within the walls of the Horny Goat Inn & Tavern - that a curiously dressed figure approached with an equally curious proposition: the relocation of an iron maiden to the far west. An impressive sum of money was offered in exchange of the tasks completion with promise of a ‘special bonus’ if the iron maiden is delivered “undisturbed”. ϟ ღ:: # of Players : 3-6 total ::Payment and Scheduling:: The game price is $15/per person per session. The Session Zero of any campaign is completely free and will go over the world setting, any questions about the game and world itself, character creation, and other campaign related errata such as house rules, expected personal conduct, and conflict resolution. The first session of a game is a 'Pay if you liked it' setup - if you enjoyed the start of the game and intend to continue playing you can pay at the end. If you need to miss a session for whatever reason and give forewarning, you will not incur strikes and can resume play again at your earliest convenience. https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/241458/moving-the-iron-maiden-homebrew-ii
