Sorry for the lengthy post but it should answer most questions :p -also because its not open to the public, most of these rules don't apply, as you know your group* its more for my free public games just to avoid conflicting personalities as many people have many preferences :) you party decides the rules :) Etiquette :)
Hello I am Cristian I am a near
exclusive DM :) as of now my love for writing stories and watching players
totally not follow it or follow it still leaves me grinning :) Ive had
mixed experience with players :P but ive since learned the errors of my
ways thanks to many positive players, :)
I love working with New Players as they
have the most complex questions which lead to interesting directions! :)
I like playing with vets as well they
tend have the most RP xp and allow for more dramatic or challenging
gameplay :D
I am posting this add In hopes to find
more players who have a love for D&D similar to the description below
:p
Golden Rule:
" Empty
Your Cup ". - Means: Give
up your portion of an ocean of ideas and perspectives as to not
interfere with others from the same Ocean...
In other words: Why keep a cup of stagnant water when
you can have an infinite amount of freshwater.
!! Suggestions for character optimization or efficiency
tips , ONLY IF someone
DIRECTLY ASKS YOU
FOR ADVICE. (to avoid criticizing someone's character and
discouraging fun character class or races they wish to try that
suits THEM .) !!
What this looks like, Imagine: Baby#1 who is playing
with their ball and got bored. Then begins pestering another baby's,
Baby#2, ball when the first baby already has one.
Be more like Baby 2, he gets to keep
his ball next week. :) <3 -i dont think this applies as you know your group* --------------------------------
Contentions , (arguments/instance cause by player concerns of the DM
style) WILL BE ADRESSED, ONLY if a case is sent Privately to DM, (as to
show respect by not breaking other players' moments of suspended reality).
I happily admit to my mistakes as it is an opportunity to change into an
even better DM. Please approach with peace of mind and the knowledge that
the DM will hear you out. I am able to make adjustments and correct
inconstancies without batting an eye, I may even apologies for overlooking
something, i am Human just like you after all :) <3 .
Meet
me halfway: I love compromise! <3 Improvising is not a problem for
me, in fact it can be fun sometimes, because sometimes I don't even
know what's going to happen! LOL. :o
But I do not
depend on it or use it as a crutch :)
****************** When unhappy with a
result. If you feel like
something is off about a player or the DM. STOP. and THINK ... of a practical and most
basic reason to justify the other person's behavior, FIRST. Then write down your
concern as to not forget the FACTs, we can not argue intention without 3 points to reference . So take accurate
notes. make a case. follow your own train of thought. See if it's worth the trouble. -Then Submit your
case, every situation is different and your old enough to read & write. so please, be
patient :). Kindness or indifference makes the rude / disruptive players
anxious and uncomfortable. They will out themselves or get bored and leave. I am Behavior
Biologist/psych background.... T.R.U.S.T. M.E. :) -also because its not open to the public i don't think this applies as you know your group* I may even change
willing individual's unhealthy behavior into positive more Fulfilling behavior.
:) *Fingers Crossed* :) ------------------------------------------------------------------- Roleplay-
Come in with an open
mind and a Blank Book. Looking at every circumstance with the prior
experience of OTHER GAMES interfere with a very CLEARL DIFFERENT GAME RAN
BY A DIFFERENT GM.
You maybe an expert
in lore from a different universe but HERE we always learn how to swim.
Allies:
Attacking PLAYERS
for accurately portraying their characters traits, will get a warning from
me.
Meta gaming is
difficult to avoid. So we have to try are hardest to avoid it. As we all
have a natural desire to preserve our characters. I ask you are AWARE and
recognize this urge to use player knowledge to give ignorant characters an
unnatural advantage. You may make a case as to why your character may have
convenient info, but ultimately you may do some sort of INT check if it
aligns with your backstory. :) -i dont think this applies as you know your group*
Have Fun!. If
your an NPC doesn't like you, he may look at you and his friend may
tell you he does not like you, and may even add to the fact that he
doesn't like you either and that their wanted men, and then you cut his
arm off if you want. hehehe
Seriously play off
each other! give us ridiculous reactions and we will intern make goofy
voices and faces back, and That's when, I feel (personally) as a DM,
D&D Shines the Brightest :)
Combat- Combat varies from
party to party Party agreed to play
W/ Ex. Of
Player set and agreed rules.
No Flanking
DC checks, is BEAT
to MEET.
TIE's- players roll a 1d4 and call odds or evens if correct
it’s a pass, alternatively it counts as a fail.
GM Hides a classification of Rolls so some players can
discover outcomes through DM description.
