Textual notes on tokens

Let's say I make 4 orcs, identical tokens and character sheet. Is there a way I can make specific textual notations linked to one of the tokens but NOT to all of them via the character sheet? Like, this one is limping b/c the cleric hit him in the knee with a mace, this one has a necklace of skulls, this one was the one who yelled rhyming insults back at the bard, this one had some equipment stolen from him by the rogue.  In general, for detailing things like critical injuries, etc, this would be very useful as right now I have to use a physical notebook next to my laptop.

There isn't a way to do that from the character sheet.  You can double click the token and put it in the GM Notes section, or add it onto their name (if you aren't showing that to players).

For critical injuries, you could use status markers. For the other stuff...not sure how you'd do that if it needs to be visible on screen all the time.  Otherwise. Each token has a GM Notes section...
If you want to use the token's GM Notes section, The Aaron wrote up a quick script a while back that can add short notes to a token.&nbsp;&nbsp; <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/5285545/can-token-mod-be-used-to-set-gm-notes/?pageforid=5286236#post-5286236" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/5285545/can-token-mod-be-used-to-set-gm-notes/?pageforid=5286236#post-5286236</a> I haven't used it myself, so just reading through his description it looks like it'll overwrite any notes that are already there and replace them with what you enter using the script.&nbsp; But if all you're using it for is quick notes to yourself that could suffice, as long as you don't accidentally overwrite them with an update later. I'd agree with Finderski that using token markers might be a better way, but that does also have the downside of being visible to players (probably fine for missing limbs, maybe not for less visible/tangible things).

There's one further down that thread that can do appending:&nbsp;<a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/permalink/5297154/" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/permalink/5297154/</a>
Thank you, everyone, very much!!!! Between the Notes section, which I wasn't aware of, and the script, that is a complete and perfect answer to what I am trying to accomplish! I'm very grateful for saving me many hours!!

You should also look at Keith Curtis's SuperNotes script as a nice way to pull out the notes quickly for a selected token.

Thank you for that as well! Looking into it now!
