DM experiencing weird disconnection from game (see post- it's super weird)

The DM of our campaign (Texas) keeps randomly disconnecting from the game. However: 1) the disconnection doesn't show up for him. He's never notified that he's left the game, and the only way us players know is that his name drops off our screens and he can't see our rolls. 2) whenever he rolls a die (we've designated d3 for this purpose), he immediately rejoins the game and can see all the rolls again. 3) his internet connection is stable, it's only started happening as of 10/03/2020 at 21:00 EST/ 10/04/2020 at 01:00 UTC, and the remaining players (located in Texas, Massachusetts, and Alberta, CA) are unaffected by this

I've been experiencing recently strange results with APIs which may be related.  They simply don't work, nothing happens when I try to invoke.  This may be related to a disconnect since I need to restart sandbox and also refresh game browser.  This is a new thing over last 2 weeks Also, when I ping map as GM everyone sees the entire map for a second or two.  I'm guessing that's an attempt to fix UDL
UPDATE: It's been a month, and it's still happening. Unless this is the Spectrum ISP being selectively spotty in Dallas, there's something afoot.
I am having the same problem as a player in both of my games for the last month or so.  Can't see other players or DM rolls.  No indication that I've disconnected, but I drop on other players ends.  About 40 seconds later, I "reconnect" and see rolls/token movement/chat.  Also same as above, when I roll/move/type, I immediately rejoin and see my inputs right away.  My internet connection is also stable, and only on Roll20 do I have any connection issue.

Last weekend i started using Firefox instead of Chrome and Roll20 became much more responsive again. So it might have something todo with (yet another) chrome update and/or settings of a plugin like ublock origin.  On a sidenote: There is a timeout time before a browser detects/shows the red-box with alert message that you do not have connection. I think that timeout is the reason why a player does not yet know he lost connectivity while the rest already does. When the player does an action himself -like rolling dice- the connectivityloss is detected and restored straight away. It's kind of inherent to internet protocols.
FWIW, my entire party uses Chrome, and only the DM has this issue. The only thing I can think of is that maybe, for some reason, his specific chrome set up is making this happen, but that seems like a stretch.
