[LFG] [DnD 5e] Intermediate Player Looking For Group

Hey all, I'm Ty - 27, looking for a group for DnD. I currently have a campaign going with some of my friends but want to branch out and get a more solid schedule and game going and see how other people play the game! I'm super laid back and chill and understand the rules, maybe minus a few details. After reading a bunch of horror stories, I can also promise I'm not "that guy" and am looking to have fun while respecting other players and the DM. I'm cool playing with any experience level players. I'm on the East Coast but I have a flexible schedule. 

I'm also looking for a game and was considering putting together a group myself, get some players together and collectively look for a DM to run a game for us. you sound like an interesting person and I'm having some difficulty getting into a group myself so maybe this will interest you. Some personal background on me, I'm 23 living in the northwest UK in cumbria, I'll have my own place within a month maybe less and I don't currently work so my schedule is super flexible. I've got over two years cumulative experience playing DND 5e under my belt and play a wide variety of characters, I don't like horror or grimdark and I prefer small close-knit groups with a roleplay focused game dynamic, that said I do love a bout of combat when it fits the narative well.

Hmm. I'm looking for a couple of people of the more chilled out disposition to round out a gaming table for DnD 5e. The game hasn't really started yet, but it sort of has, but mostly not. I promise you that I'm not "that DM", but sometimes I think that I am... Ermm... That got the excess snarkiness out of the system... Right... But I do promise that my DMing is distinctly mediocre. Both myself and the players at the table at the moment are probably the kind of folk who would prefer to have an "amicable gaming table". You folk also seem to be gunning for something like that, so I'm giving you a shout and a wave. Because of the constraints of people's timetables, the game runs on Wednesdays Central European Time 8.30PM (that's 7.30PM British time, or 2.30PM (I think) East Coast Time). I've been DnD-ing for a while and abusing the English language for longer still. I dislike horror, grimdark and Strahd. Some very vague information on the game: There's a homebrew world, where various things are happening and being made to happen by big bag, neutral and good end games, and I want to see what players poke, prod and set on fire [read: I've got a fair amount of material, but I'm more interested in seeing what the party does with it (and to itself) than trying to push some kind of "plot"].
