Not sure where to put this. I think most will be aware of the lighting and map alignment issues where you can see the big black diagonal across the map. Poked about a bit a found its a lot more stable if you turn OFF the mouse "roll to zoom" option in the settings. Just use the zoom bar in top right corner. This reduced the amount of times a got stuck with a stupid map zoom that i couldn't get out of. Couple of  observations:- The mouse roll wheel only zoomed when it was in the map display window. If the map is not the same shape as the display window you some times loose a bit of the RHS (and maybe the bottom) when the scaled map doesn't match the scaled display window. If you change the zoom a bit it will recover. So the map is aligned to top left of the display window. At some zoom values the "Window" disappears because its off the top of the screen. So it seems that the Window position is not aligned with the top left of the screen at all values. It seems that with the map at full screen, if you zoom out it first changes the map size in the window, the window still fills the screen. If you continue to zoom out it scales the map to some limit then reduces the window size. Now the entire window is visible in the screen. Then it gets confused and scales the map and not the window so you can't see all the map and can't recover the relationship between the map and the window. Posting this in the hope the mouse wheel tip helps. Maybe someone can spot some more work arounds.
