Updated Dynamic Lighting Basic Question

Is this how UDL is supposed to work? I'm super new to roll20. So in the example below the top left and bottom two tokens have night vision to simulate darkvision. the top right token doesn't have dark vision, but can see what the other 3 characters are seeing. Is this supposed to be how it is? I've used command + L to simulate what the non-darkvision character is supposed to see and the image below is what they end up seeing, shouldn't they see darkness?
This is in no way an official response, but I've noticed that the Ctrl+L with Updated Dynamic Lighting is pretty useless. It does not show me the same view that my players see. Most of the time, it looks (to me) that they are able to see hundreds of feet across the entire map, but that is in fact not the case from the players' POV.

When it is working correctly, Ctrl-L gives the token's L ine of Sight, not their full Dynamic Lighting experience (you will always see the GM layer, for instance). Ctrl-L is currently broken for Updated Dynamic Lighting, though, working on all tokens simultaneously instead of one at a time.
