Hey Everyone, I have been DMing and playing on Roll 20 for a few years, and would like to meet some new folks and start a new game. I'm looking for players who are able to make it to the game regularly, have functioning mics for communication, and are willing to get along with others, and work together to make a fun experience for everyone. If this sounds like you feel free to respond to this threat or message me privately. If you're new to D&D, that's totally fine. One thing to give you a heads up on, I'm pretty big on roleplaying and storytelling, so if prefer a more combat focused game, this one might be boring for you. That being said I don't take things too seriously, and I do like to give the players lots of input on building a fun game world. The setting is homebrew, but pretty similar to Forgotten Realms or other more standard fantasy settings. The premise for this game is that you are your party members where conscripted, likely unwillingly but I'll leave that up to you, to fight in a brutal, three-way civil war. Your side lost, but you and your party members survived by watching each other's backs. Now the party makes their way living in a strange post war world that sees them as traitors because they fought for a side that they likely didn't want to fight for in the first place. My plan is to have a quick Session 0 to talk about characters and backstories, and then to play through a prequel of the final climactic battle that initially brought the party together. From there, I'll surrender the reigns to the party, and allow them to explore a more open world and find their own destiny. I'm all about collaborative storytelling and letting my players help design and make their marks on the world. So if you have ideas for characters, cultures, societies, etc tied to your character, feel free to get inventive. I'm shooting for around 4-6 players.
