How do you show nameplates under the new UI?

How do you get nameplates to show under the new UI?  Clicking the name plates checkmark isn't working. Please, for the love of all that's polyhedral, let us set this thing to visible by default. I know somewhere there's one campaign where the big bads name is the big reveal but that one person can turn the name off once. I need to turn the names on for every. Single. Token. I make. And every single character that pops onto my table. As a society DM that is a LOT of tokens.

Clicking "Nameplate" worked for me.
