Why is roll20 unable to "correctly" measure distance in square grid? 10 squares horizontal is not same as 10 squares diagonal...

You can change the measuring for each map in the settings to "euclidean", then it measures the "right" way. Many Tables like to make it simpler by counting diagonal squares as 1 as well. I very much prefer euclidean measuring too (otherwise a sphere is a square on the map which feels wrong)

Note: this feature exists this way to accommodate different game systems, some of which have alternate methods to count diagonals.

Ah - did not see that option there.. My workaround was to disable grid completely but it was bit sketchy :) thanks a lot! edit: anyone knows is there a way to edit map settings via api? :)
