Hey everyone! Since Red has been out a few weeks now, I thought I would make a thread where we could share ideas and resources. Here is a cool resource to kick it off. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLeMOgUx67UMLnG84FbW-tYf30LjhXlrVf

I acquired the book a little while a go, and feel it misses the same kinda fluff it had in the second ed with the life path and whatnot, that needs ta be expanded on by a tonne for the raidio's of your world https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhCuCqJbOVE
I also prefer the life path of 2020.
I believe they had intended to streamline some of the more complex crunch and character development which, for several of us more seasoned player, has become a staple and pleasure to the RP of Cyberpunk. I still prefer to develop the character in the 2020 rulebook while adapting the Netrunning of Red into the game as well as the new lore and timeline. Some differences include the Cop to Lawman that I do like a bit. This allows for a broader and stronger definition of the character while giving him a greater role in the game. Thoughts?
The red combat is less math intensive,(I HATE math) and from the few paths I have played around with, I like what they've done with them. Especially the medtech and the specialties.
I prefer games where people, you know, play; red, pink, chartreuse, they're all secondary. That said, Red does seem much more straightforward, which tends to be better IMO; the only problems that I've seen with it are... 1. Editing is a bit weak. 2. Shady furcations; for example, the way they wrote the Lawman, you can't be a Serpico. In fairness, it's hardly a complicated fix. A significant upside, though it's been a while since I've played 2020, is combat makes more sense; the action economy of priors was wonky and frustrating. Caveat / context to all my prior, here: I've never found a steady, long-term group to actually play Red, yet. *Ahem.

There is an enormous flowering of Cyberpunk activity on the Facebook group "Cyberpunk Uncensored" by Rob Mulligan. He started by streaming CPRed Jumpstart Kit games, then invited others to stream as GMs. https://www.facebook.com/groups/cyberpunkuncensored He offered a link to a CPRed Crash Course and other explanations: https://www.youtube.com/cyberpunkuncensored
Uncensored... Facebook; interesting. Thanks.
