Maps stay blurry while spending hours on the same page.

Hi, I am playing as a player and DM. In both cases I experience the issue, that the maps stay blurry. Other players of the same campaign do not have this issue. I am the only one facing it. We are using high-res maps. I do not scroll or zoom around and stay at the same spot for hours. I have tried Chrome (main browser), firefox and edge. I am facing the issue on every browser. I cleared the cache, relogged or used the private tab. I am unable to fix it and google does not provide any answer, either. Please help me out. Cheers, HeGro
Having the same issue, would appreciate Roll20 staff responses or acknowledgements that this is an ongoing issue affecting many people.

There was a recent thread about issues stemming from an ISP in Germany limiting AWS traffic. Do you fit in that category? https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/9599363/using-roll20-is-extremely-slow The other thing to do would be to work through the troubleshooting steps, which includes gathering console logs and submitting a ticket. https://wiki.roll20.net/Solving_Technical_Issues
I'm in the EST time zone in the United States, so I don't think I necessarily fit in that category. I've run through the troubleshooting steps on my end. Have not submitted an official ticket, though. Guess I'll go ahead and do that next.

The only other thing I can say is that the quality of internet service and the power of the computer/device being used factors in to how things work. I have one player that is on pretty poor service with an older computer and I can't use maps that are much more than 2MB when I upload them if I plan on using dynamic lighting.
Two players of my group have the same issues always. Myself too but not so often.
Hi Kraynic, thanks for pointing to this other thread. Indeed, I fit into the category. I am from Germany using Telekom as provider. Seems like I have to use VPN until Telekom fixes the issue on their end. Thank you for letting me know. Cheers, HeGro
Mee too. Its a shame and it all worked out so well the last two weeks - lucky I didn´t pay anything yet. But for the game its fu__ Keep me up to date how to fix it ;-)
To be honest I expect a different solution but with a VPN tunnel it works much better.
Sorry to temper your expectations, if a VPN works, thats the best you are going to get. Roll20 is depended on external parties that either are a factor larger (amazon, google) and/or do not have a direct business relation (telekom de). On the interconnect between telekom and AWS roll20 is a tiny fish that is being swept away by Netflix and Prime Video.
