Looking for a new game to play? How about City of Mist?

Have you ever wanted to play an RPG where you can play a character inspired by your favorite comic book hero in the same group as someone playing Odin as a handyman and someone else playing a character with the powers of Merlin? Then I would strongly recommend you try out City of Mist. A game that focuses on Modern Fantasy Noir style of play. In this game you play as regular people with extraordinary abilities, living in a city that seems to always work against you. The biggest hurdle is the Mist, a literal and figurative energy that blankets the entire city as well as clouds the minds of the normal people in it, preventing them from seeing the supernatural phenomenon that occurs around them at any given time. Those that work against the mist are Rifts, people who possess the powers of Mythoi, spiritual entities that come from literally any story that you can think of. Mythoi are people, objects, places, or entities that come from fairy tales, history, ancient forces, comic books, or abstract themes that want to exist within the city with you as their physical embodiment.  Somewhere within the city their could be a bartender with the Mythos of Dracula, who is able to transform into a bat or smoke and can drink human blood to heal any wounds. Their can also be a retired army veteran with the Mythos of The Lone Ranger, able to perform near impossible trick-shots and have pinpoint accuracy with a gun. Anything you can think of, will more than likely be present in some form or fashion in the city.  I am planning on hosting a game on Fridays at 6PM CST or Saturdays at 1PM CST, depending on the availability of the players. We would be using Discord the voice chat. I am looking for 4 players who have experience or are comfortable playing a more narrative driven tabletop games and who are comfortable taking active roles in world building and group character creation. New players are welcome of course, but some experience with the game would certainly not hurt.  If you are interested, go ahead and post here with the following info: What day is best for you? Are you new to CoM? What kind of characters do you normally create in RPGs? What was your worst experience in a game?
Would you be good with playing every other week?

Hello, I'm Aaron, I am a huge advocate for City of Mist, it's been one of my favorite systems for the last couple of years. Would really enjoy playing in a game rather than running one all the time. 1. The Friday slot works the best for me,  2. No, i have about 3 years experience with the system 3. So, this is tough to narrow down specifically, but i tend to make characters that are heavily faulted. Ones that have a desire that push them forwards and keep them motivated. They always have roots in the world and things they're willing to fight for. As for roles it's hard to define, i like the troubled offensive types, or the slow musclehead tropes. I've also been known to play the leader with a quick wit and a bit of an edge. 4. Well, I've had plenty, I'd say the worst would have to go to a game i played not long ago. The Chemistry was off from the start, the GM and players struggled finding common ground. There was no session zero to talk about tone and expectations, so we came together as a conglomerate of ill fitting comrades. Right from the rip things went south as there was no reason, or weight to what little directive we had, we were just kind of moved from location to location. There was no acting whatsoever, in fact if i tried starting conversation it was interrupted by someone wanting to roll investigate, because we were in a new area. Just wasnt my style of game to say the least, no player autonomy or dialogue based interactions, 100% just rolling dice. Now, I'm sure there are more dramatic events in other games to earn the title of worst, but this is the one i dreaded the entire 4 hours of play, it was exhausting trying to keep myself engaged.

I would love to play every other week. 1. I can do after 9:00 PM CST on weekdays, and after 7:00 PM on Sunday. 2. Yes, very new and would love to play. 3. Combat-heavy characters, but I'm always open to try new things. 4. I was in in a game where the DM showed a stupid amount of favoritism to the two woman at our table.
