Question regarding creating an aura on a token that players cannot see through unless given permission

Hey Roll20, As stated in the Topic Title, is it possible to create an aura on a token that players cannot see through unless they had edit privilege - perhaps using something like dynamic lightning maybe?  Thanks
You might want to look at the Darkness script .
The problem with the Darkness scripts as I have seen them is that tokens with darkness around them cannot see out of the darkness. Others cannot see into the darkness - whether or not permission is given to the token with darkness upon it.

Correct, they just draw lines on the dynamic lighting layer. There is no way to make dynamic lighting only affect some players, it's all or nothing. If you uncheck "see" from the token aura's Player Permissions, and add players to the controlled by property of the token, does that do what you want? Or am I misunderstanding the question? If the token represents a character, you'd have to edit the character's "edited & controlled by" property, as the token will inherit the character settings in that case.
