[LFG] [D&D] 3 new players looking for some one to show us the rope

we are all from the uk and would like to start playing dnd but as we cant meet up would like to do it online we would need someone to show us the basics of how everything works

I see that you are looking for a DM. I’m not available right now but several  of my campaigns are going to end in the next couple of months.  If you are still looking around them send me a message. I’ve DMed for over 35 years. I haven’t charged, but people have told me I should. I am considering it for at least one game. Not sure. Would probably be pay what you want. I enjoy teaching new players and do some player friendly things to ease people into the roleplaying/ problem solving if they’re new/uncomfortable with it. Since I don’t expect players to swing a sword in real life, I don’t expect players to have the Charisma abilities their character does. What this means is if you just say “I want to make a Persuasion roll” that’s fine. If you want to try to add more I will not penalize you for not being “clever,” and will probably grant Advantage on some of the checks. So it’s a no penalty approach. With this caveat- if the player is doing something that is harmful/unpleasant for the other players that will not be tolerated.

I can show you the ropes at some point if you like. I'm about to have a new campaign start up. My games start at 11 AM CST, which I know is later in the night over there. (I think around 3 or 4PM) If that time works for you then I'm game.
