I was reviewing this older you tube video, From the Taking20 Channel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rrbqdkGIa00&list=PL4ihyL-PTq4N5DRmy72zCqD1eQhnqaCTphttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rrbqdkGIa00&list=PL4ihyL-PTq4N5DRmy72zCqD1eQhnqaCTp Check out the timestamp around 19:44 He's using a Macro to auto cast spells from a creature, but it looks to me like the spell casting sheet for NPCs has been revised from what is in this older video. His Macro would be something like this: %{selected|repeating_spell-npc_$0_spell} Is there a way to make this work for the current formatting of spells for NPCs in Roll20? The list is obviously changed from the video. Unless that was something specific to a setting I used? I checked the box for "Spellcasting NPC". I went an unchecked it just now and did not see how to add spells to the sheet in that older format used.

You are just missing the spell level, and there is no -npc involved. Try: %{selected|repeating_spell-1_$0_spell} That spell-1 needs to be incremented according to the level being called. However, you might be interested in a much simpler method of accomplishing what you are looking for: NPC Statblock Chat Menu for D&D 5e sheet — No API required! It takes only a few moments to set up and covers all monsters in the campaign. There is a spellblock macro later in the thread.
Thankyou. You have changed my game forever. I was spending much time building character entries and cleaning up the default macros copied from Template characters. I will never need to do that again, this feels life changing. I cannot express my appreciation enough!

This makes me happy. :)
I just have to go back now and clean up a stack of per character macros that I had added.
