As you take a well-deserved break in a city that seems friendly enough, you soon discover that many food items have become scarce in the city, causing prices for those goods to soar and creating a mild panic among the population. The mayor has heard that your band of adventurers is in town, and comes to you beseeching your help. He tells you that the city is dependent upon a village a few days' travel to the west. The village's farms yield a great harvest each year, but this season's delivery is long overdue. Twice, messengers have been sent to the village, but neither has returned. If the farmers don't send their goods soon, the city will have to search farther away and pay much higher sums to meet the demands of its hungry citizens. The mayor offers you a considerable sum of gold to travel to the village, meet with the head of the farmers, and find out what's causing the delay. If something isn't done soon, the city will surely starve! Kurishan's Garden is a 3rd edition D&D module from Alderac Entertainment Group that I've updated for 5th edition D&D. This adventure is part mystery and part dungeon-crawler with a little bit of role-playing. This is a game for 4 players at level 5. We'll complete this adventure in a single session lasting 3-4 hours. We'll be using a 27 point buy for stats. You can choose feats or ability score increase at higher levels.
