Sorry for about to be a long post. To be clear upfront this will be a text based game, I am recovering from Covid and Pneumonia and really unable to talk for long periods. The time I am thinking of 11am to 3pm est. As for day it can any day but Saturday. My initial plan is to use the homebrew setting that I've been working on, but I am not set on using it if others aren't interested in it. I do have 2 backup game ideas. What will stay the same is character generation. Level: 3 Alignment: Preferred non-evil Stat generation: 4d6 drop the lowest, arrange as desired. Roll 2 different arrays and choose the better array. Any stat under 10, becomes a 10. You get 1 reroll but the reroll stands even if it's lower. Races: Any published player race - I do have all the books. I will also allow the Fae, Gothic and Draconic lineages UA. - - - - - Aeyrn - The Realm of the Fair: For thousands of years the Council of Elders has ruled from the floating city of ten thousand wings. In this city near God-Kings rule, binding their souls to that of their dragons. Their ancient wisdom guarded the fair lands. It happened every few years a mortals soul would cry out to a dragon who would descend from the Aerie. In a powerful ritual the mortal and dragon became more than they were as individuals. Filled with great power these young immortals actively adventured in their lands keeping it safe, as age advanced they would go for ever longer stays to the floating city. Over six thousand years ago a young woman’s soul was corrupted she pulled the dragons soul into the maw with her own. They became a twisted mockery of all that was pure and righteous about the Riders. Villages and cities burned as she rallied the exiles to her banner. A final epic battle between the armies of the Riders and the Twisted Horde saw hundreds of riders fall from the sky. Rider and dragon blood tainting the ancient plains. In the heart of the great swamp the Eternal Betrayer battled the First Lord. She was beaten but not before her poison killed those on the ground. In his wounded state the First Lord became infected as well. A tomb was built to hold her body and imprison her dragon Blackheart. They feared her eventual return. Iyanna Sunstrike is the Dragon Rider of the City of Jewels. She is young for a rider and an elf. She is only 120 years old. Awakened as a rider at the age of 17. Her draconic partner is named Brilliance. The two are dangerously close to breaking a taboo of actually falling in love with each other. They seek to protect the city and the Twisted Horde knows now that she cannot call for aid. Trana the Black a Circle of Spores Druid from the swamps a short distance from the city. He leads the Twisted Horde against the City of Jewels. Iyanna power is only so much and can’t leave the city for long or its protections fade. In Aeyrn the creation and origin of the Dragonborn are different. It is taboo for a rider and dragon to fall in love but spending millennia together it eventually happens to all pairs to some extent. And so long as they are not flaunting it they don't enforce it. The Dragonborn are the children of that union. They could not be ignored. The birth of a Dragonborn to a pair is often seen them go on a crusade for a number of years. Their child is raised in the City of Orphans located high in the mountains. - - - - - The other game idea was that Spelljammer is common among the worlds. The characters can come from different worlds, they start on the Rock of Bral. Which is a massive asteroid city-ship. They will be part of a company (in which they can improve their status and position within it). A group of either Beholders or Illithids raid Bral and steals something of value. Being hired by the group it was stolen from they take their spelljammer out to give chase to the enemy. They catch up to the enemy ship and after a brief battle they enter a crystal sphere that has yet achieved Spelljammer technology. - - - - - And the last idea is the least fleshed out and in my head is a blend of Ravenloft and Bloodborne together. I can provide more details if needed.
