Imp Unity said: Hello, if you run any text only games, I'd like to drop in. (I'm not posting in the availability thread since it sounds like that will be an uncommon occurrence, so I will leave scheduling for the more regular players.) Ok, welcome. There are +3 options for you, depending on your situation for preferring text. Do you have the possibility to listen on Skype on headphones to hear the descriptions, and you can type your PC actions without ever talking on a mic? Another method that may be available is having a Scribe / Transcriber in the party. They would type summaries of the scenarios in the chat, conveying the GM's verbal descriptions into text at the same time. It's like closed-captioning for any live TV. The GM will also type some, but not every word. Third possibility (last ditch option) is me running some purely-text game sessions, but you are correct that I will probably only do that rarely and upon special request. That said, I will run a text-only dungeon for you solo Imp, or for you & whatever friends you recruit, or for you + open invitation to everyone else, if you ask for this in the Availability thread and state some days/times you can play this (times not-conflicting with the already scheduled Friday-Saturday in August, if you want to request a text game later in August-September.) My usual requirement for a special-request game session is, I'll book it if 1 player commits to a day-time and we agree and confirm it. So it's not entirely for you to wait for me to announce a text game, it's more intended for you to start the process of requesting it and dialog with me on your time availability so we can book it, if you want to be the text Player to anchor a future session. Also, take this campaign concept as a series of one-shots or open-table gaming, and a GM-sessions-for-request, not a weekly recurrence of same-time/ same-party. We may game here on any day of the week, more or less often, and you may play or not play, RSVP or not, usually for any session. With the one caveat that I am looking for minimum one single player per session who RSVP's and commits to a time we agree upon. That is the one key for booking/opening a session, whether text or voice.
