About the game: I am going to be starting up a long term 5th Edition game of Dungeons and Dragons based in a homebrew world. The game is intended to be a sandbox style game to avoid the feeling of railroading plot forced upon players. Along with the homebrew world there will be some tweaks and additions in the form of homebrew rules which will be fully elaborated and presented later on . Also I'd like it that we (Myself, as Dungeon Master, and players I hope to add to the game) take our roleplay seriously, or at least not cracking jokes every other word. I hope/plan for this group to become more than a random group of strangers who only converse and associate with only on game days, to a group of friends and companions who can enjoy each others company for many times to come. Playtime & Timezones: Currently. The game is planned to play Sundays at 12 PM EST and often lasting until 4 PM EST, that is 4 hours . I also quite enjoy doing bonus sessions, so long as people agree to being up to play on none game days (Aka not Sundays) and it works for everyone else we can play on other days as well. Important Information: I welcome and encourage new and inexperienced Dungeons and Dragons players! If you are new to Roleplaying or Dungeons and Dragons in general, then please do not be discouraged to send in your application. I highly discourage rules lawyers in my game and because of this have no problems welcoming new comers into the game. I will be willing to fully assist you in character creation and understanding the rules required to play. We will be using Discord as our VoIP and will also be the application I use to interview everyone a tiny bit before just blindly inviting someone in. Enjoyment and Roleplay is my top priority! Enjoyment control isn't easy with two people not conversing correctly to one another and explaining how they feel about something. So I ask that if there is an issue or something preventing you from a better playing experience that you inform me. This way we can see what we can do to try and improve the situation if at all possible. As stated before, I enjoy more serious roleplay. This means that we can have many sessions that consist only of dialogue and minimal dice rolling. So if you’re looking for action and combat packed session each day we play then you may not fully enjoy this game, unless you go about causing conflicts. Hook/Pitch: An ancient engraved stone map forged long ago by prophets who discovered and forced the evils out of this land has been rumoured of lighting up with magics imbued in it. After a string a recent freak earthquakes across the land, things feel indifferent. Though this has just been a wild rumour as of late that something has reawakened all the evils sealed away long ago. The map is supposedly showing locations of old legendary catacombs, tombs, battlefields, and sites of importance of evil from the period this continent was formed and colonized. In Northwatch a wealthy patron, Gavin Remorsk, is calling out for those who live their lives on different accords from normal citizenship life. Gavin is a well known Magi who was one of the head professor’s at Butterfly Lake’s Ethereal University, though long past his prime now. He currently has a date set for numerous meetings at the Eleventh Flame Adventuring Guild, to send various people on a plethora of tasks whispers say. Gavin claims to pay handsomely either with coin, gems, reagents, or other things worth value. People speculate something to due with the recent events that have occurred over the land. Most adventurers have been picking up sword and shield in hopes of ancient treasures and riches. Will you follow the path of lust for loot, finding yourself wanting to figure out the mystery going on, or even just trying to survive what the legends and old tales may have stated. How Do I Join?
