The newly established settlement of Korthos on the southern coast of the Harrowmere has sent an urgent call for heroes willing to help root out the nefarious Devourer Cult and its sahuagin overlords.  In recent weeks, a strange winter has fallen over the normally warm village. Could this be tied to the rise of the Devourer Cult? Or is there something more dangerous lurking in this unassuming hamlet? Recommended for adventures level 2-4 Please include your characters Passive Perception and bonus to Survival and if they are proficient in Survival or not! DM Note : I've designed a dozen unique magic items and at least one unique artificer spell for this one. They won't all be gained in a single session, of course, but this initial quest is the gateway to a series with further rewards. Oh boi... I'm so excited for this one. I bet you'll need a navigator that will guide you to your destination and a shield which will protect y'all from the harm so if the in-game date will fit, I'd send my boi Sylandar (Level 3 Revenant Survival Domain Cleric) for a little crusade in the name of The Great Helm. PP 14 Survival +8 (proficient) Combat Role: Tank and Primary Healer Role during the Travel time: Navigator (+ may Survey when the camp gets set up) P.S My shifts at work are scheduled for a week. I will ask for a morning shift that day but I'm not sure if I'll get one so I may or may not drop out. Gonna inform when I know anything but feel free to replace me if you find someone in my place in the meantime.

Sylandar's One Way chitchat to The Great Helm (while holding  the line over the crack in the bridge (?)) Oh Great One, here I am the lowly servant of your holy will. For you I've overcame the trauma from the jungle and stepped onto the ship's deck to in your name punish sinners and bring light of hope to those in need. It's been doing well and seeing my pertners tremble has made me calm myself for someone had to be a figure and an example that there's nothing to fear. The sea has been violent and conditions freezing but oh Mighty One what happened next. We heard a roar even more violent than currents this day. We didn't even get to have a good at what's going on when the captain shouted "DRAGON!". Totally unexpcted attack has brought a panic to the crew. Everyone grabbed what they had in their disposal with hope almost already lost. Few spears and arrows has flew in the white beast's dfirection to chase it off but none has found their target and the reptile's rage has risen to the point where it was not a matter "if" but when the ship will perish. The dragon has flew over the ship few times at incredible speed that made the ship wobble even harder than it already was. We've fallen to the ground forced by it only to see statues made of ice in place of the vast majority of the crew. Wet wood frozen in the mere seconds by the dragon's breath was now cracking and breaking. We knew we had just few moments before we'd land in the freezing water. Some of us grabbed barrels and creates to stay afloat while rest has guided our mounts from under the deck. The ship was taking the water fast as we jumped of into the waves of unforgiving element. I wanted to scream to the group to catch my hook as I was throwing it to get us possibly close together but the cold air gathered in my lungs and thermal shock I was expiriencing made it impossible to make a sound. Not loud enough to be heared over the noise made by the water craching all around us. The last things I saw was Astra's horse  fighting for survival supported by it's owner while the rest of us were holding onto the floating scraps of wood to save our dear lives while the ship was being swallowed by waves. I don't know how much time has passed as we've woken up on the beach shivering from the cold with our clothes soaking wet. We didn't have much time to get ourselves in shape before we heared shouts in an unkown to aany of us language. The visibility was terrible due to dense fog but we've noticed a man being surrounded by the Sahuagins with spears pointed at him. There was nothing to think about. We've immediately launched towards the unsuspecting creatures. The brawl was raging on and Sahuagins were dropping one by one. We've chased the last one to the wreckage which happened to be the remains of our ship and quickly ended thing's suffering. The man we've rescued has introduced himself and his friend to us and asked if we'd want to help them clear the cave and after we've agreed to do so, he's pointed the direction for us when we were supposed to meet up with their cleric while they look for anything of value on the crash site. We've followed the instructions and arrived at the cave's entrance and introduced ourselves to the cleric. She's noticed our wounds and casted a heling spell on us to bring relief to our bodies. When we were all wogether again, we've stepped into the cave were our fist obstacle was a gate that could only be opened from the other side. I've grapped my grappling hook and threw it towards the ledge above us to climb over and go down from the other side. With first try I had to miss a good anchor point and as I put my weight on the line I fell back onto my rear. I'd not complain if Xoni (bless her soul) was here. She was good at those thiings. Second attempt was more successful. I've climbed to the top, take down the bell to silence the alarm mechanism and then climbed down on the other side. With no way around the bright lights of lanterns, I've went straight for the lever when a single elderly sahuagin has cut me off from the rest of the party. Thankfully they've dealt with it pretty quickly. No we just needed to cross those little islands to forge on. I've taken a leap and threw a rope to the others. They are crossing it right now. Okay, Knaw , Saim ,  Astra ... Just three left to g-..... CHAR! GIMBLE! HENRYK! NOOOO!
The Amazing Adventures of Gimble Nimblehands: Part Four The interminable cold wears on the denizens of Hope. In their fear and simple-minded confusion, they are now in need of a mighty hero to turn to. Who can rescue these poor simple folk from the strange icy grip that has settled over this land?   Never one to shirk the call to arms from the simpletons cowering by their fireplaces, our intrepid hero steps forward to answer… The Amazing Gimble Nimblehands… ready to tackle another impossible quest that other mere mortals quake in fear at the sheer mention of…   accompanied by a ragtag group of adventurers keen to benefit from my expert leadership and charismatic awesomeness Facts Party: Gimble - Leader, most intelligent and skilled member of expedition (maybe allow others some moments to shine for their own self-confidence) Astra - Previously travelled with her. Looks like a strong wind might blow her over but has powerful pistols - I may be able to augment them (and use if the unfortunate girl was to fall in battle…) Saim - Nimbly bimbly artsy type Henryk - Huge chap, seems “moist” Knaw - Shifty but does seem to recognise my brilliance Sylander - One of them holy types, seems competent   Bimble - Finally, I am free of the Bumblehead who has the sniffles and is staying by the fire Setting out, I soon managed to overcome any issues with the rolling seas and take up a commanding presence on the boat floor deck area… the sailors recognised my commands and we have started well. Curse you Bimble!! You must have known we would be attacked by a DRAGON en route and stayed behind to take all my glory! Fortunately, the beast only sank the boat and didn’t cause much more damage (note: captain and all crew killed almost instantly) So long lost at sea… I wonder if I’ll ever taste food again We have arrived on shore and despite being a little damp, we’re mostly OK. However, exploring the beach uncovered some horrible fish creatures and we were forced to defend ourselves from their unprovoked attack. I led a fearless charge on their left flank, ensuring that the large Henryk didn’t “ooze” himself again (note: maybe worth checking his ooze form.. for science of course) while Sylander pushed up the middle and drew a lot of attention. He weathered it well and was soon ably supported by my magnificent firepower (wielded by Astra ). While Knaw and Saim cleverly used the trees as cover to snipe, we clawed control over most of the beach until we were confronted by a sea hag of some sort. I managed to bravely rescue a halfling hostage before I was viciously and almost mortally wounded. Managing to heroically shrug off the pain, I somehow managed to stay conscious and retreat to where Henryk was also laid low and selflessly aid his recovery ahead of my own needs. After finishing up the battle for the beach, the (clearly traumatised) halfling introduced himself as Jeets and recognising our talents decided to introduce us to his comrades (Talbron and Cellimas) who, perhaps recognising my skills, pleaded for assistance with clearing out a cave on the way to town. We gained entrance without too much trouble but are now faced by shark infested waters we may need to leap…
Updated with the new date.
Lady Char’s Kult II Recap It was a shaky beginning, staring up at dry land from shark infested waters. But a bit of rope and some quick thinking got me out safely. I think some others fell into the dank murky soup as well. I’m sure they got out fine. I would’ve remembered if anyone died. Right? After that was more leaping. Not my string suit. But we got across unhindered. We found a locked door, and our thief forgot his tools. (No, this isn’t a joke…) But that didn’t matter because we were ambushed by the sahuagin within. They must’ve swam around behind us and attacked from three sides. Easy fight, though. Just a few a dozen of the buggerers we put down.  We got into an empty shrine and found a way out of the caves back to civilization. But the geniuses in the party decided against a warm bed and good food. In fairness, the lure of treasure was too great. So, we pushed on into the caves after the Devourer cult. First we had to cross a rickety bridge and kill a tasty looking lobster. We kept the meat in case we find butter anywhere. Then there was a running battle along a long narrow hallway. More sahuagin butchered. Just blast blast. Kill kill. And now we bring our little tricks to the Devourer Cult temple. Should be fun. What can those little disgusting fish monsters do that will challenge us?
Uriel can join this if there is still a slot?

The Amazing Adventures of Gimble Nimblehands : Part Five When last we left our intrepid hero, a quick jump awaited the party. Seeing Henryk and Char fall into the water, Gimble joined them to help… Facts Party: Gimble - Leader, superior intellect, total package of skill and modesty Astra - Gimble enhanced damage machine! Char - Society type who excels at finding cover Henryk - (Not) Solid, dependable fellow. Seems to enjoy the bottom of pits Knaw - Excellent scout, might be a little too enthusiastic at checking out lobsters Sylander - Heals… we should try to stop him getting hit?   Fresh from saving people from the possible shark infested waters, Gimble led the team towards a heavy doorway before sounds to the south alerted him to the threat of cowardly Sahuagin attempting to flank the party. Quickly organising the team to counter the threat, Gimble led the charge against the dangerous Western charge. Heroically throwing himself to the fore and summoning a thunderwave to knock back the encroaching masses. Meanwhile, a feint from the East nearly finished poor Astra before she retaliated with a molotov that engulfed many of the fish-people! With Henryk wading into the fight in the West and Sylander helping Astra reagin some health, the fight looked in hand before another wave arrived… with Char ’s magic and Knaw ’s ranged attacks adding to the damage, Gimble managed to lead the party to overcome the filthy Sahuagin spellcaster and her lackeys. With quiet settling over the area, a key was spotted deep in the water. Volunteering for Astra to be lowered into the depths of the water to retrieve the key (she doesn’t need air and has little flesh on those bones to entice the obvious sharks in the water… don’t judge me!!). The party were ready to proceed. Spotting a shrine to the Devourer, Gimble pushed on past (allowing Knaw to scout ahead first) and was rewarded with a ladder. Cellimas advised it did indeed lead to the town of Korthos but despite the overwhelming fear running through all, Gimble calmed their nerves and advised of the need to clear the tunnels as heroes would. Once again leading from the middle, Gimble allowed Knaw to scout ahead with Astra before they awoke some sort of giant lobster. Aiding the counterattack, Gimble helped slay the beast before realising that many of the party were still cuddling each other back on the other side of the cavern. Henryk appeared to have thrown himself into the pit but the others all seemed to be hanging around. Eventually dealing with the pit, the party pushed on down a series of tunnels, slaying Sahuagin wherever the foul beasts chose to try attacking, Gimble led the party heroically to a door that seemed to lead to a more open area where danger seemed to lurk…
Journey through the secret tunnel through the mountain Thanks god we fished the bunch from the water in almost no time. It was just enough for the shark to take a quick bite of Henryk. Next crossings were quite easy for everyone which made me sigh with relief. The peace didn't last for long though. Knaw just reported about some chanting coming from the other side of the door when wegot jumped by some sahuagin. Some got  taken down, some fell into the water but we handled it pretty well.... I mean... That is before we got attacked by another few waves that harassed us quite a lot making us use up most of us resources. Firearms were blasting and the spells were flying around. The only quiet moment was when our new warforged companion blasted a ay of light that has desintegrated almost a third part of enemies in just mere fraction of a second. When we finally cleread the area (hopefully for good) we encountered another problem. The door... It's not a problem right? Afterall we have a great rogue Knaw , and an awesome tinker Gimble in our party. Yeah... About that... Apparently they didn't have their tools with 'em. We can't really blame them, right? Tools have pobably sunken to the bottom of the sea.It took us a while but we found a key and entered the empty chamber which after my close examination appeared to be a shrine to the Devourer under lower priestess' supervision. There was only one way out and wet tracks were going that way so we followed. There we found a narow "bridge". We took down a kmonster on the other side and continued through the hallways taking down hoards of sahuagins on our way. What I have to say is that I'm eally imprerssed by Gimble . On the beach he acted like what younger kids call a "pissbaby (?)". But now? Damn he became so brave. He didn't need more than a moment to throw himself into harms way pushing the offensive forward. Everyone did great and it wasn't long when we encountered another door. From what our new friends told us, there shouldn't be much more enemies left so we're expecting a Big Fish on the other side. Great Helm, we put ourself unde your care and your protection. For you and for the good of the people we're silence the tyranny of those sinninster creatures. Gods have mercy on our souls.
Char's Writeup (Pt. III) We were ready for a fight. Unfortunately, the other side wasn’t. After setting ourselves for a fierce battle, readying my spells and passing out some inspiring words, we burst into the Sauhagun priest’s lair. (I think it was a priest. Or a priestess. Or maybe not. I’m not quite sure what these slimy fish thingie things are. All I know is she threw some healing spells I don’t know around.) As usual, I kept myself out of the fray. There’s lots I’m willing to sacrifice on this journey, but self is certainly not amongst that number. I stayed back and slung my spells, which was a good thing because the Priestess had some nasty surprise for the cleric Celina we’d picked up on our way to the caverns. I don’t know what they hell she cast, but damn, I want to learn it. Anyway, the truth is we were more for a match for this ragtag band of cultists. Celina and her rapier man Jeets kept a bunch of them busy. They had a machine with them that acted human. I don’t really know what he was doing besides freaking me out. For our part, Sy used his powers for healing, as usual. Also hit them with some divine magic weapon. Knaw used his new rapid fire crossbow to pepper them, which made him hit almost half as many times as Astra’s pistols. And the oozing guy Hynrik did his whole ooze thing with pods of goo. (GROSS!) After the battle, we said goodbye to those three odd people we’d picked up on the beach. They cleared out the cave, and I guess they’re gonna live their or something. I really didn’t pay attention after they said they didn’t want any of the loot. We hung out and rested a bit after that. And then it was right back into another dark, damp place. I swear, what is it with bad guys and sunlight?
Count me in! 20th works fine.
Confirmed and paid up!
I'm unable to make this one so im gonna drop out and hopefully someone will fill that spot. goodluck lads and lasses
You know this guy is in!
Gimble Nimblehands will face his inevitable death... confirmed and paid
Uriel's Journal 21 st Marpenoth Upon arriving in Korthos it was somewhat peculiar to find such an idyllic town in the clutches of chaos. I descended into the depths to find the party in preparation to storm the central lair of the Sahuagin. An odd bunch, but aren’t we all from Hope? The battle was swift, the outcome decisive. The priestess was engaged in a summoning ritual, no doubt calling some undersea horror to drive the town into her clutches for good. Fortunately, my presence averted certain disaster, inverting the strands of time and averting a deadly blow to my companions, we won a decisive victory against the Sahuagin villains. I like it on the surface, things are more nuanced than the Priestesses would have you believe, I am not sure I will get used to the sunlight but my companions proved of interest. I have to confess this coterie of adventurers is even more astonishing than the last. Gimble has talent although whether it is for tinkering or embellishing his own achievements it is unclear. Henryk disturbs me on a level that I have heretofore yet to experience, how can one man express so much…. ooze? Astra seems to be a bomb wielding, gun-slinging night terror, something that would even give my sister pause. Sylander is permanently mumbling to himself about mighty Helm. And Knaw? Well, at least a roguish rat-creature makes sense to me. Tomorrow we descend yet again into the depths of Korthos. Another foray into this cursed town, will we survive whole? None can be sure…
We ideally need one more for this one to go ahead, team!
Okay.  Count Bimble N8mblehands in for this!  :)  3pm est can work for me this week.
