Huzzah is right!
Char will tentatively join in another round od Cult in Korthos, depending on date and time. And here is my session summary: We pressed on. Well, actually we stood with our finger up our butts as the enemies we were fighting retreated deeper into the temple. Good riddance. They’d blasted off their spells and none of my companions dared brave the onslaught. So, they managed to keep us at bay. Instead, we made our way through a secret passage. It was another darkened room with a chest in the middle. Now, the Rat guy Knaw is pretty sneaky, but apparently not that bright. Whenever you see a treasure chest unattended, assume it is already looted or a trap. In this case, it was both. And there was a dead body right in front of it. But on he went, getting a face full of acid and needing some healing. It’s times like these I’m glad I learned some other skills. Like healing. But I really haven’t picked up any blasting spells yet. I’m sure that’ll come soon, though. After finding the chest was empty, we ran into a portcullis blocking our way. But there was a lever, and surprising that was not trapped. But on the other side were a bunch of bad guys. We killed them. It wasn’t easy. We kept screwing up our attacks, but skill overcomes luck eventually. They died like all the rest. A harder fight was just beyond them, however. These guys were hall guards, and when we got into the ritual chamber (another damn dirty fish god ritual chamber), a sauhaugin priest raised ome kind of hellfire monstrosity undead thing. I nearly put us down. But once again, I was healing and blasting. It was pretty heroic…
Uriel's Journal, 22 nd Marpenoth Carnage, absolute bloody carnage. We entered Heyton’s Rest and were confronted with the family’s mad custodian. Sentenced to watch over the dust of the dead? A sad existence. It became clear that cultist’s of the devourer had infiltrated the depths… some custodian. Nevertheless, we proceeded. Gimble would have given away our approach, fortunately, I was on hand to reverse the affair, allowing us to maintain the element of surprise. Unfortunately, the Cultist’s were better armed than we thought, after an initial scuffle one of their caster’s dropped a stinking cloud. We retreated only to be confronted by Gimble’s brother Nimble. A good head of hair and perhaps slightly taller than Gimble. I wonder if being shorter and balder motivates Gimble to greater heights? From henceforth he seemed like a man possessed, perhaps some healthy competition between siblings is an advantage. We had a number of close misses, Knaw was nearly turned to goo by a particularly nasty acid trap and Gimble was nearly perforated by a pike wielding mad man. I spared Sylander a further drubbing through chronal rearrangement however it left me unprepared for our final encounter with a Sahuagin Priest. Astra and Knaw nearly had the better of him, but not before the creature dragged one of the Heyton’s to some infernal mimicry of life. Imbued with hellfire the cadaver was nigh on unstoppable but after a drawn-out melee, we were able to bring the beast to rest. We will take some time to rest in Korthos before excavating the entirety of the crypt, Lolth knows we need it…
Love it!

The Amazing Adventures of Gimble Nimblehands: Part Six Previously on " Gimble and friends", the gang had entered the unimaginatively named “Hayton’s Rest” and been accosted by some ruffians. Heroically Gimble had beaten most and caused one to flee when he realised he seemed to be all alone in the passageway!?! Concerned for the minions, our dashing hero returned back down the corridor until… Facts Party: Gimble - Leader, superior intellect, apparent tank, total package of skill and modesty Astra - Possibly the best damage dealer I suppose… Char - Prim and proper, not adverse to getting a little dusty if her hiding place isn’t clean… Uriel - Some sort of time travel genius!! Knaw - Loves a precarious, lonely scouting mission… loyal but risk addicted? Sylander - We stopped him getting hit quite as much, although someone had to take his place… might need to rethink this plan!! Bimble - turns up like a bad penny to try and steal my glory!?!? Well now, look who blundered into the tomb and caused a distraction to allow our enemies to escape! It’s that insufferable buffoon Bimble … I could see everyone was as annoyed by his presence as I was. Clearly people are realising just how terrible he is, and how my awesomeness is even more impressive for overcoming his lameness… With the tunnels opening up to our east, we decided to sneak around via the secret tunnel we’d (group effort) discovered to the west. Poor foolish Knaw stumbled straight into a trap when he stood over a corpse to try and open a chest. Char managed to heal him up pretty well, although the idiot then undid that good work by stumbling into a bunch of hall guards!! Leaping to his rescue, I was nearly laid low by a mere guard’s lucky strike! The world cannot lose such a hero in this way though and I heroically struggled onwards. Sylander also nearly fell but Uriel seemed to reverse time somehow… (impressive but maybe it would have been better used to keep me safe?) …and we had soon dealt with them. Creeping forward, we soon found yet another fish priest. At the sight (or sound) of them, Astra rushed forward with her guns blazing. I must admit they are impressive weapons considering the (clearly inferior) manufacture. My own modification obviously helps immeasurably! But despite her usual maelstrom of death, the priest managed to raise some sort of fire skeleton nightmare. While Astra (and yours truly) finished off the priest, the skeleton visited fiery fury on Knaw , Sylander , Bimble , and Uriel (I think Char was hidden away somewhere). Bimble was quick to have Mom and Cosmo distract the thing, even I’ll admit his creations are pretty solid (especially considering his simple minded nature… I wonder if he stole the designs from me somehow?). It took all our combined effort to bring this burning bag o’bones down, Char appearing with healing and firebolts out of nowhere* (*possibly a dusty corner by the look of her!) Looking around, I could see that my companions were in no shape to continue without a rest and so I took the executive decision to return to the town so that they might not die…
